I ordered from his restaurant on Goldbelly around December 12th . I ordered chose dumpling and wonton combo. The dumplings tasted store bought to me . Or from a Chinese restaurant at best . My sister in law is Chinese and I know good homemade dumplings. I have yet to try the wontons. But dumplings a Huge disappointment.

XLB with Crab is not worth it! The flavors are not authentic and taste like something is missing (or was not fresh). The umami that crab brings is just missing. The only thing right about the dish was the consistency of the skin which one nice and thin. Really one of the worse XLBs I’ve ever had. Very disappointed :(

Obsessed with the popcorn chicken! Perfect level of spice, it doesn't even require any sauce. The soup dumplings are worth a try as well. The space is typically very clean and the staff are friendly.

Look. I do a lot of reviews both good bad and everything in between, but this place is by far my favorite dumpling place hands down. I've been to many places that charge way more for less and they have nothing on this place. Everything was absolutely perfect. Staff was amazing and we will come back every single time we come into town.Thank you for making my families day.

This place is great. Nice little spot tucked away in the Trader Joe's shopping center with a patio and dining room. I got the soup dumplings which were awesome! Bursts of flavor.

Great lunch spot! The soy braised pork rice was awesome. The veggie dumplings were also very tasty. All in all great meal!

Its rather tiny, but nice. Dumplings were alright. Heavy "Asian-ish, but lets make it pleasant for the Americans" influence. No east nor northern european dumpling choices.

We ordered two different kinds of dumplings. The XLB were a bit over steamed and the others weren’t steamed enough. We also ordered beef rolls. They are a little bit spicy and were ok. The dumplings weren’t bad, but weren’t the best either. There’s parking beneath the restaurant but the restaurant doesn’t offer to validate. They may validate though.

Ever since I saw a video of their food, I knew I had to try if I ever traveled to LA! Finally did it!Soup dumplings are their #1 star of course; so soft, tender, clean, and delicious. Certainly the best dumplings. Even the pan fried dumplings were amazing; pefectly crisp on the bottom and soft on top.Our favorites were the green beans and the chow mein (chicken added); delicious seasoning on the green beans and the chow mein is certainly a one of a kind dish, never had one like it before, A MUST TRY!The only dish that was a bit much was the shumai; seasoned differently than any I've ever tasted, but peppery, it wasn't bad, but it was a bit too salty for our palate. Still delicious though, no doubt. As for service, the workers were nice and patient with us as we ordered, and service was really fast, we barely waited 5 minutes when the first dish was served. Place is very clean, bright, and has a nice atmosphere and aesthetic decor in the restaurant.Definitely will be coming back before my trip is over, and if I ever am back in LA with friends, this is the #1 spot I'll be taking them to eat!

I have a deep appreciation for Asian cuisine. I love the creativity, boldness, and spiciness that these meals can offer. Dumplings and gyoza, in particular, captivate me with their combination of dough and flavorful fillings. I had been eager to try this specific restaurant because it specializes in dumplings. Naturally, I expected their attention, skill, and efforts to be focused on perfecting this dish. It's like going to a cardiologist and expecting them to examine your foot.I ordered the Spicy Pork Wontons, which I enjoyed, but felt they could have been better. The flavors were fresh, the pork was well-seasoned, and the spicy sauce with spring onions was a nice touch. However, I believe the gravy could have been slightly thicker and a hint of garlic would have elevated the dish even more. Despite this, I would order it again as it was still enjoyable. I also tried the Pan Fried Chicken Dumplings, which I did not like and couldn't finish. The chicken tasted processed, and the dumplings had a frozen taste. As I mentioned before, at a specialty dumpling shop, anything other than freshly made, in-house dumplings is not a good idea. I would not order that dish again.Regarding the service, I can't say much as it was similar to fast food counter service.

Food is decent but hit or miss. Been a few times and sometimes it's super flavourful and fresh, other times it's almost bland and doesn't taste as fresh.A lot of menu items to choose from so great for those who like to try a few options. Hopefully it becomes more consistent but for now it's convenient and ok.

I avoided dumpling monster because I assumed it would just be an okay place, and reliant on proximity for its business. I went there because I was in the mood for some dumplings and didn't want to drive anywhere so I figured no matter how bad it was it would be convenient. It's basically carryout only at this point. The front area is just full of supplies, space for food deliveries and shipping. I ordered and they suggested one of their outdoors tables to eat as a dine-in option. I got the pork XLB and the green beans, my standbys. The XLB was good, better than I expected, hot, fresh, with a broth in there that was rich. The green beans were ok- the chili sauce was a little too weak and it didn't have that subtle flavor that other places had.All in all, if you've got a dumpling craving and you're in the area it's not a bad place to get it from.
