The place is beautiful and the food was delicious. However, the service was not good, the male waiter at the registration desk was a bit rude and I think he is a racist. He let white people in first even though they arrived later than you and only acted friendly to them.

Great and cozy atmosphere. Alfresco option as well, if you choose. I will definitely do that in the summer. The food was awesome, and the dessert was a huge yes! So delicious. Our service was fast and very friendly. Valet parking or street parking. We did valet parking, so I'm not sure about how challenging it may be to find a spot close by. I will say to keep in mind that there are multiple restaurants beside each other that are busy, so calculate extra time for walking if you choose to find your own parking.

The hostess here was asleep at the wheel. She completely forgot about us. We didn't get seated until we followed up after waiting in the heat for an extended period.The cocktails were tiny disappointing. We got the cucumber margarita and michelada which were both underwhelming.We got the ceviche to start which was 7/10... oily and lacking the lime that ceviche usually has.The Diavola Pizza was 8.5/10 with a great combo of sweet and spicy flavor. The Crispy Fish was 7/10. It mixed well with the polenta but lacked a much-needed citrus flavor.The Poached Eggs on Toast were executed well so they get 8/10. I added a side of smoked salmon which worked well.The Chicken Sandwich was juicy but not as crispy as we expected so it gets a 7/10.Overall, the food and drinks here were forgetable and this place is highly overpriced for what it is.

Really nice atmosphere. The food was great. I had the burger on lettuce with sweet potato fries and we got the mushroom fries. Service was ok. Parking sucks and valet is $20.
Our server was Max, he was attentive, present and fast with orders, drinks, to go boxes and checks. Had great recommendations, and would sit with him again. Food was great, atmosphere was fantastic and the patience from the entire staff for our table change was amazing. The Manger on duty was quick to get us seated, and settled. I didn’t catch her name ( blonde, with a nice smile) 10/10 would recommend to friends and will be back again.
When you are a regular repeat customer. When you belong to their Rewards Club. When you specifically note on your advance reservation that you do not want to sit at one of their small tables for two literally 10 inches from other tables on both sides of you. When the two parties of two directly in line in front of you are given larger round tables for four. Then I'm forced to sit in the table I specifically asked not to be seated at and dismissed by a curt hostess ........ you tell her to cancel the reservation and walk down to Cecconis and have a fabulous meal not sitting 10 inches apart from other tables!! Thank you Cecconis for a great meal and ambiance. Management: when your customers have to turn sideways and hope their skinny ass doesn't knock over a drink on the table next to you, you're being greedy and jamming in too many tables ! Don't think I will be back ever.

I had heard so much about Great White, so I had to give it a try! I went for dinner, but I've heard so much hype about their breakfast/brunch so I'll definitely have to come back for that. I went for an early dinner so it wasn't crowded at all and I was able to enjoy the beautiful interior and ambiance. The servers were so so nice, and experience-wise, it was great! I got their rigatoni bolognese, and it was phenomenal. Melrose is one of my favorite areas in LA and Great White is probably part of the reason why - great ambiance and amazing food! I will have to come back for breakfast/brunch and give an updated review :)

What I order every time I come to Great White - their ceviche. It never disappoints and the taste is the consistent in both Venice and Melrose locations.The pancakes and banana breads were surprisingly good as well.Dishes I wasn’t a huge fan of were:- avocado toast (toast was hard to chew)- poke bowl (I think the fish sauce flavor was too strong)- salmon pizza, I’ll stick to their delicious margherita pizza next time
