NOT EVEN OPEN!!!! Made reservation through Open Table and the place the CLOSED!!! Way to ruin a birthday dinner!!! How does this place get a way with this? And what can OPEN TABLE do about this?

Was on vacation for my anniversary, made a reservation, had reservation confirmed. Showed up. Waited outside because doors were locked and restaurant not open. No sign. No message. No apologies. Many other groups in same predicament.

Just awful. Salty and flavorless. If you want overpriced 7Eleven sushi, this spot is for you.

My roll arrived with the package half opened, no chopsticks or soy sauce (!!??) and I didn't have chopsticks so that was the first major bummer!! Wish I had seen the other reviews here, because my experience was the same: poor quality roll that made me question its freshness. Terrible. shouldn't be so heavily pushed on Uber eats and postmates!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place is incredibly misleading & such a scam!!! The menu they advertise online is NOT what they have when you go. They only have, as the server described “extremely bite-sized” appetizers which are all $20+. I did not want to spend over $100 on tiny unfilling food, so I got up and left. Would give this place 0/5 if I could.

We had high expectations from the food at Morimotos, however we were not very impressed. This one was nothing close to our experience at Morimotos in New York. Would hope they improve their menu offerings and excel at it.

Service was super friendly once you finally got their attention. Would have consumed way more than one drink but never was given the opportunity to order more until we were done eating. Food this time was blah at best, previous times the food has been great which is why I usually come back. The Pork gyoza was ridiculously hot with bland taste. The ribs (6) for $40.00 were cold, the chicken karaage looked nothing like the picture and tasted like fried chicken skin and fat with a drop of sauce. The two rolls though were good though. And $10.00 for a small bottle of sparkling water is kind of silly and $19.00 for a bacardi rocks is a bit excessive. For the price they command I expect much better service and a consistency in the food quality. But this seems to be par for SBE. Will not be returning for any more tries.

We've dined here a few times, once before COVID, twice during. The food is good/creative, but the sushi rice is below standard & far below a Morimoto standard. Last night!'s meal was a struggle. Inexplicably, a loud electric violin player was performing ... jamming with contemporary hip hop also playing loudly. The violinist was good, the track music was fine ... both obnoxiously loud & together - hilariously bad. It was ... shocking. I asked the server ‘how long had this been going on?' He picked up on my discomfiture & asked the violinist to turn down ... she sort of did, was back to wailing by meal's end. The dan-dan was too spicey to enjoy, the check came without my credit card which I presented first - the experience was snake bit. I've dined at Motimoto spin offs around the world - but sadly won't return to Sa'moto.

The sticky ribs were AMAZING (buttery texture, fall off the bone). Huge disappointment on the sushi and the lobster. They failed miserably on the sushi rice (gummy and hard pressed almost into mochi). The selection for sushi was very basic too. I thought they'd at least knock a salmon avocado roll out of the park, nope. The drinks were fantastic, well balanced. Fresh lobster, was so mediocre - sauces were uninspired. Dessert: the crème brûlée yummy and well bruleed without burning. The caramel popcorn sesame ice cream was inedible. Returned it and was still charged for it. The popcorn was very very stale and the whipped cream seems foul. I'm didn't get to try the ice cream buried below. The wait staff were slow and inattentive. Overall there were some brilliant highlights, but I wouldn't return. Has the feel of a poorly managed restaurant.

I thought the price was high for the quality of the food. Was not blown away by the food. The service was friendly, the noise level was very high. Definitely not recommended for people with families.

Delicious food & drinks! The ambiance was great, with music and cool lighting. They offered a handful of vegan options, including veggie rolls, spicy edamame and veggie bap. We had a comfortable table, and the service was excellent. Can't wait to come back again!

Food was excellent as usual. They were understaffed so service was not great and they kept cranking the music up to super loud which was uncomfortable but they did end up getting it figured it out. Definitely recommend the sundae and sticky ribs!

Food was good but a bit in the sweet side. Crab spring roll was very delicious! The decor is very fun and the server was very nice. We went on Sunday and it's is “club” night with loud music appropriately but noisy for us. Wednesdays are regular dinner day if you like quieter experience. It is a fun place

We had high hopes for a “Morimoto” meal. The food was average at best. I'm sorry to say that nothing was delicious. We ordered the veggie and crab egg rolls, the spicy chicken, some tuna and salmon sushi rolls, gyoza, sticky ribs, yellowtail sashimi, and the tuna tartare appetizer which was fishy. $650 for an underwhelming meal. Maybe if we were at a strip mall sushi place, it wouldn't have seemed so bad, but it being Morimoto, we expected much better. He should take his name off this place asap. This was very disappointing and we will never go back.

We had a very nice early evening. We were advised that later in the evening a d.j. spins toons upstairs, but we were able to enjoy a very good dinner selection and hear our conversations. The staff was very cheerful and helpful.
