This place is a gem. Under new management. We happen to stumble upon. Food was very gourmet. Dog friendly and open space. Nice ambiance. Loved the music too. Great place to eat and people watch. I'm not a long post writer but I do need to post for Lady Coco!

NO LONGER PONO! Now Lady Coco (new ownership). Nice menu. (Still have a couple of burgers.) Update: When I arrived at Pono last night I learned that it changed hands this week and is now Lady Coco. (I loved Pono and glad to know that their Santa Monica & Venice locations remain.) I started this review last night as I waited at the bar for my takeout order... Happy to report that the food is quite good. Fans of Pono will see some familiar items on the menu, along with the new (a dozen pizzas that look great on paper). We enjoyed the brussels sprouts, arugula salad, ponzu avo dip (guac), the Coco burger and the Panko Fried Chicken. Also the russet & sweet potato fries with that crack aioli! Farewell Pono Kitchen... Welcome to the Strip, Lady Coco!

A great spot on the Sunset Strip for an intimate, organic dinner. It's never as noisy and crowded as some of the other over-hyped restaurants on the strip and the food is always terrific! We ended up here unplanned while we were checking out the bookstore next door and were too hungry to walk much further. So glad we came! We always sit out on the patio to enjoy a quiet candlelight dinner by the fireplace. We love their thoughtfully designed menu. My favorite so far is the organic panko fried chicken (not greasy at all) that comes with a shiitake mushroom gravy and a side of green beans with toasted almond slivers. Delicious!!! We've also tried their seafood entrees and they were all excellent with nutritious ingredients. Do not miss their craft cocktails! The bartender will even make something special for you, he has some great ideas. I don't mind that this place is on the expensive side. The quality of the food and drinks is well worth the price.

Great spot for happy hour....except, sadly, hh is only until 6:( Excellent hh bites- salmon tacos and chicken tenders were perfect. French fries a little soggy. Please add a sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio to the happy hour menu and make it until 7 again! Pretty please as the patio is great but when you work on the other side of town, need hh until 7!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm glad I finally did. My friend and I met for dinner on a Monday at 7:30. I made a reservation on OpenTable but it was definitely not necessary - the place wasn't crowded at all. Not empty, but it was easy to get a table. I wasn't greeted by a hostess when I walked in and had to flag a waitress down to make sure it was cool to sit wherever I wanted. This wasn't a huge deal but it would have been nice to have been properly seated, especially since there was no "seat yourself" sign. Overall, the food was very very good. We weren't drinking so I can't comment on the bar, but the drinks did look tasty, if not a little expensive. I believe they were $14 a pop. We ordered the guac (which they named something different than guac..), the chicken bites, sweet potato fries, and the Paniolo Burger. The burger was absolutely incredible and easily the best part of the meal. I'd come back for that burger alone. The rest of the food was good, aside from the sweet potato fries which needed to be cooked a little longer. Enjoyable meal. Good service once we found a seat. 90 minutes free parking behind Chase Bank of Larabee (with validation from Pono). Incredible burger!

I came here for happy hour/dinner with some friends after work on a Friday. It's located right off Sunset which can get congested, but they do have a free lot for 90 minutes off Larrabee. The ambiance is super quaint. It's mostly outdoor seating that is covered by shrubbery and is relaxing and clean. Service was quick, our server was friendly and engaging. Their happy hour menu is great! We got the ghost pepper margaritas which had a good kick to them along with fries, chicken bites, and the avocado dip. Everything was decently priced (I think around $7 each) and came out fast. Their dinner menu is not very extensive, but it ranges from seafood to burgers. I ordered one of the burgers which was fine, but overpriced for being a solo burger without a side. I'd come back, but only for happy hour. Great spot to enjoy the nice weather!

Pono is a great place to hang out with friends or just have a nice relaxing date night. They have an awesome patio where you can enjoy your meal. We opted to have dinner at the bar. I had the steak and my partner in crime got the Pono Burger. Everything was delicious!! The steak was cooked to perfection. The staff was super friendly and attentive. It looks like they have great HH specials too. We'll have to check it out next time. *There's a parking lot in the back (Chase parking lot) they validate for 90 minutes.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good food and great service with an upscale-casual ambiance on the Sunset Strip. We needed a place to eat before catching a show at the Viper Room and this place was close, had vegetarian items and was also part of the Hooch app--sold! It's a newer restaurant on the strip and had a hip and modern ambiance. Especially liked their wall with shelves holding all manner of succulent plants. It was about 6ish when we got there so we had no problems getting a table. Plus, we were in time for happy hour so we got some of those deals in addition to our free Hooch drink--double happiness! We ordered a bunch of items to share: Tempura Blue Lake Green Beans, Superfood Croquettes, Ponzu Avocado Dip, Fresh-Cut Russet French Fries, Toasted Sesame Udon Noodle Salad, Farmer's Market Salad, and Chocolate Mousse for dessert, yum. When it was all said and done, the food and drinks did add up, but everything was so good and the service so friendly and efficient that we felt it was money well spent. Would definitely go back.

I live 10 minutes walk from this place, and I really, really want to love it. I've been to the one in Santa Monica and had similar sentiments. Great concept but execution and taste is not entirely there. Ambience: really cool outdoor seating and indoor bar seating. It is small, but I've never seen it full to capacity. Service: great and personable service! Food: the fries are AMAZING and the different sauces they have are very inventive and interesting and tasty. However, the burger I had was almost too much. There were so many toppings on my burger that I ended up having multiple bites of just bread and topping, and not the actual burger. This was disappointing because the burger itself was delicious. The bun was also disappointing and cold and HUGE and fluffy and not filling. I'd rather have a potato bun. I will be back, however with options like Shake Shack, Whalburger and Sunset Towers (which has an incredible burger), it won't be my first.

A bit on the pricey side, but I really like the decor here. I think my biggest complaint is the music. It's Hawaiian food, and the music is like a Hollywood night club. I'd much rather have some Hawaiian themed music playing while I chow down on my Hawaiian grub. Service was solid, parking could be a challenge cause its Hollywood, but overall, I really liked it. Happy Hour prices were decent, and lasted til 7pm during the week. I could see myself coming back before another Comedy Store show, especially because it is so close.
