Classic breakfast place with the most friendly staff. I have visited more than 10 times for breakfast. The food is simple and consistent and this is a no-nonsense restaurant. Most people who visit are regulars and the staff know them by name and even their orders. Reminded me of old country restaurants but in Sacramento city. Highly recommended.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking and doors

Ordered a omelet, got a scramble. Mediocre flavor. The cook does not know the difference between burnt and crispy hash brown.

The food is delicious and the prices are very affordable. The service is great and the staff are always very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody who has yet to try it.

This place is great. The parking is a bit rough because the lot is small but there is street parking. Went there on a Sunday morning and it was pretty busy which is a good sign that the food is tasty. Even with as busy as it was, it did not take long to get a table. The prices here are also phenomenal! You can eat like a king for some nice low prices. And the food is delicious! Great serving sizes for the prices. The diner atmosphere is charming. This place is definitely somewhere I would frequent. I look forward to eating here in the future!

Man-O-Man, Carol's Restaurant sure was a sight for sore eyes! I can hardly wait. We finished up with the fresh water sea trials on Rodeo Cowboy's new boat, and I dropped him off at his Porcupine breeding center, The Pokey Pokers there on the Arden Expressway, where their motto is "The Pokey Pokers poke the hardest"Well, I'll have to punch Rodeo in the belly for thinking that one up. I then put the Ram into Giddy Up and scooted back to Carol's Restaurant as fast as I could go, they sure put out a great meal, no matter what time of the day, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner you'll get an Amazing meal!5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Funny we had the similar situation today as the other reviewer who wanted to put a zero star. If I could, I'll give negative star. I really doubt that if they did have the technology issue as the Manager replied the other reviewer, or they just don't care the customers, or even have discrimination. I've been to this restaurant twice. First time it was about 40 mins wait for food serving after we sat down and ordered. Today, it was even horrible. 40 mins after we placed our order, we saw people ordered after us finished their food and left. So we asked our waitress to check our order. (Yes, she never checked on us during that 40 mins). She came back saying our food would be coming. Then there's another 30 mins wait. During that 30 mins, she placed orders for other 3-4 new tables around us and they all have food served. Yet, ours are still not coming. If it's really technology issue that our order was missed at first place, then she should adjust it right away when we asked her on the first time. We complained at the check-in counter, and decided to leave. Then she came back to apologize saying she didn't know why the Kitchen was doing that. (Yes, right after we complained.) Then, when we were leaving, she came out with food. I said sorry, we were leaving. Then she just said "Okay", and went away. She didn't seem to care. Or even worse, she's having discrimination on us because some in our group didn't speak fluent English and we are all Asian. Our senior wanted to tell her that's discrimination, she pretended she didn't understand. And I saw her showing the careless face and shook her shoulders. Funny that when our senior complained at the check-in counter, the guys understood that our senior was complaining about her discrimination. So if a restaurant kept letting customers waiting, kept having technology issues, kept missing customer orders, kept hiring staff with discrimination, you should also worry about how organize they could be in their kitchen and the quality of their food.

Came here to get a quick cheap and fast breakfast and was absolutely blown away. The food here is classic diner fare. Pancakes were so fluffy and delicious, biscuits were soft and gravy was perfectly made. My boyfriend’s chicken sandwich was really tasty and everything was so fresh. Even the coffee was good! Our waiter was so nice and funny and all the other workers were friendly and kind! Will definitely be coming back. This seems like a neighborhood favorite.
