Ramen connoisseur that’s been to Japan and traveling around US. Focusing on Ventura I’m stuck between Hoshi Ramen and Kansui.Kansui has better Egg and stable broth.Hoshi Ramen has better broth/character (extra egg too).Both are fantastic options and recommend going back and forth because both provide different experiences.Atmosphere in Kansui nicer while Hoshi more hole in the wall but hole wall feels more homely. Had lunch at 1:30 on a Sunday, the place was full but space outdoors (with heat lamps) or inside with a 5 minute wait.The staff were super friendly and professional.Ordered the wontons to start and they were amazing. Recently coming from Japan, this ramen spot is the closest to what it’s like in Japan. The atmosphere and vibes are great. The food was very authentic and decently priced. And on top of that, the service was excellent. No complaints, will be coming back!!
