Service excellent: very quick and attentive employees who are very sweet, unusual for a Viet establishment. It was pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary for a com tam Busy mom and pop restaurant. Pork was tender, Chinese sausage (lap suong) was a bit undercook but then again, I like it a bit char on the outside, Bi (shredded pork) was ample. Overall, plate was good but I've had bigger and better portions elsewhere. I like that the dish came with a soup on the side. I would come back if there was not so MANY of these Com Tam places in OC.

Often busy so expect a short wait but the food is good. One of my favorite con tam spots in OC.

TLDR They will punish you for being clean/sanitary. THEY CHARGE $2 per cup, if you ask for water in a to-go cup… I used to stop by this restaurant many times with my wife. As a local business owner, I would also invite different clients to eat here. I became friends with some servers and made sure to tip them well each time I ate here. Whenever my wife and I ate here, we would always ask for water in disposable “to-go” cups because we have had some bad experiences in the past with dirty cups. The last time I visited, the server let me know they would have to charge me for to-go cups. The type of cups they use are Dart brand foam cups (not sure if it’s 12 or 16 oz). At Costco, 1000 16oz Dart foam cups go for $79.99, which comes out to around 8 cents per cup. The last time I visited, they charged me FOUR DOLLARS ($4) for 2 WATERS in a TO-GO cup. $2 a cup is WAY TOO MUCH. I would pay 50 cents, maybe a dollar at most. It feels like they are trying to punish me for being clean. I told the server to pass on a message to the owner, are these two disposable cups worth losing long time customers? For the record, I didn’t get a reply from the owner. I made sure to tip well, since it was not the server’s fault, but that was the last time I stopped by. Since then I have been to many restaurants in the area and still have not found a single restaurant that has charged me AT ALL for water in to-go cups, let alone TWO DOLLARS. Everywhere else offers this FOR FREE. In the end, two dollars may not be much, but it strongly implies that you do not value me as a customer or my satisfaction. That pushes me away. Needless to say, I will not be recommending this restaurant to my clients any longer.

One of the best places to get really good Vietnamese broken rice dishes. You might have to wait a bit to get a seat on the weekend.
The food wasn't bad, but I felt that the broken rice was a little bit drier than usual. The meat was well-seasoned and tasted good with the rice. However, the fish sauce was a bit too salty for my liking. Overall, it's a decent broken rice restaurant.
