This restaurant is a gem! Super friendly and helpful service and great choices. We enjoyed catching up with our family while sharing a large room with others surrounded by tasteful decorations. If there were 6 stars, I would have given them!

The lady who runs this place is SO kind. I had never had Mongolian barbecue before so she walked me through the process and how everything worked. She even made a combination suggestions for the sauces.10/10 recommend!!!

I am a regular at this place. Staff is friendly, knows our orders. Food comes out quick + you get to pile your bowl as high as possible. Decent prices, from 14-20+ each person. Typically quiet, but even when packed the place is quick.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed!

Good food at reasonable prices. I took my parents here and they loved it. It felt healthy with all the veggies. Would come back here again. Also, I don't eat carbs so this is one of the few spots where I can get keto style (no noodles) and it will still taste really good.I hope this place is successful so I can continue to go.

Our go-to lunch every week. The lunch specials are amazing. The staff and owners are genuinely excited to see you. The mongolian food is the best and have pockets to stuff your food. They have variety of drinks and beer. We look forward to this place and we feel welcome like home. This place is closed on Mondays And during the week they open for lunch from 11:30-2:30Dinner 5pm -9pm the dinner prices go up but they have all you can eat option

Ladies and gents, gather 'round as I take you on a liberating journey through my experiences at Genghis Khan in Huntington Beach. I was once a Mongolian BBQ novice, a wanderer who would probably never have stumbled upon this hidden treasure on my own. It's quite amusing, really - I lived on Garfield Street, and yet, I passed this place daily without a clue.In the days of my youth, when I was a broke college student with dreams as big as my student loans, Genghis Khan was my sanctuary. It offered us service and quality that, let's be honest, we probably didn't deserve, all at a price that wouldn't obliterate our meager budgets. The owners and servers became like old friends, and ordering was as natural as breathing. No menus were necessary; in our youthful and somewhat naive minds, we were practically celebrities - never mind the fact that they were tucked away in a 1960s strip shopping center.I'll be honest; I was culturally clueless and close-minded back then. But places like Genghis Khan opened my eyes to the world, and for that, I am forever grateful. Fast forward to 2010 when I moved to San Diego, and the Mongolian BBQ options there were a mall disaster. I couldn't wrap my head around it, let alone give it the respect it demanded. So, I learned to live without Mongolian BBQ, but the longing never really left me.Now, let's fast forward to this year when I returned from my San Diego adventure, filled with nostalgia and craving those familiar flavors. I rushed over to Genghis Khan, only to find that they had moved. In this digital age, like any modern soul, I took to the internet, and a kind soul informed me of their new location. A quick Google and Yelp search later, and I was on my way.As I entered the restaurant, I was warmly greeted by Jenny. Now, I can't confirm if she's the owner, but she's been a part of the place for two decades, and she's an absolute gem. I got straight to the point, even requesting a to-go box when I ordered, as I had arrived about 15 minutes before closing. I'm self-aware and not about to be a buzzkill - I've been on both sides of the service industry. Time is money, and we've all been there.I built my bowl, tipped the chef at the hot plate (a gesture that he truly appreciated, as he hadn't collected enough for gas money), and eagerly anticipated my appetizers, except for those mysterious breading pockets. Now, I've never been one to get excited about bread, but rumor has it they're a must-try. The fried items, though, were sizzling hot and exactly as I remembered them. The shrimp - well, they had me questioning life's mysteries. Are shrimp tails really inedible? Have I been needlessly dramatic my whole life, refusing to devour them whole? They were out of this world. The rest of the entree was equally delectable, except for my one blunder - I forgot the green onions and carrots. Who does that, right? Or was it a subconscious move, securing a second date? We'll never know for sure. Now, a word to my fellow Yelpers: Let's all acknowledge that Genghis Khan's prices have been more than reasonable for as long as we can remember. So, let's not get all entitled when they adjust for inflation to stay afloat. And as for the cleanliness complaints - come on! Their product is top-notch and squeaky clean. If you beg to differ, try navigating your way through markets in China, Indonesia, or Taiwan and see if you dare to ask to speak to the manager. Sit down and savor the culinary marvel that is Genghis Khan.In conclusion, dear friends, Genghis Khan is more than just a restaurant - it's a liberating experience, a place that treated me like a queen and made my college days unforgettable. It's a legend in my book, and if you haven't been, you're missing out on a piece of Huntington Beach history. Embrace your inner food explorer and conquer that Mongolian BBQ, my liberated souls!*I write this not for my fellow yelpers, but the owners. I hope they do read and know that they ar
