I would give it a 0 if I could. The most terrible restaurant I ever get. Our group came in at 7:30 pm, didn't know they close at 8:00 p.m. and they said nothing about that. We just had a few bites before they started their cleanup. Just about an hour after foods are on the table they gave us the bill without us asking for it. Too impolite and untrained skills. Never go back again. Wish everyone who intends to be there good lucks.

Came here yesterday only to find out the restaurant has changed to this pho place. (I didn't pay attention assuming it was still the same place bc the exterior and interior looked the same) I think The signage outside still said Hoa Nguyen and by the time we realized, we had alrdy sat down and it would've been rude to have walked out so we opted to stay and try. They do have a vegetarian section but it's not a full scale veg restaurant like before. Ordered the mi quang, pho (#17) and the banana flower salad. Everything was good. 4 stars for the initial "welcome" and friendly greeting and for the food. 3 stars for forgetting we ordered a bowl of pho (but she brought out the to go order). We asked for water, clearly she saw it was my mom and I but only brought one cup. And she took forever. Initially ordered the jackfruit salad but later she came out to say they ran out so if we can change it to the banana leaf salad... Idk. Grateful the food was good but it was just disappointing knowing we drove out here to eat at a certain place but ended up not being the one. (Partially my fault but it was deceiving. This place is still running under the old name on Yelp too)

Everything is goood!! Lots of vegan options and few dishes are gluten-free too(ask which ones has no soy sauce/flour, I think dishes 01,02,03,04,05,10,11 doesnt).Friendly staff too, but they do speak some English but it’s mostly Vietnamese.Everything in the white section on the menu is vegan.?Vegan food reviews in OCIG/TikTok: thatfoodthooo

I ordered food here to go. Beef stew. When I took it home to eat it was still frozen. I called them and the manager said I have to cook it still. He said this is normal. Normal serving frozen food to your customers. He said all the food is like this. Horrible. No wonder nobody was eating there. He said they keep the big pot frozen in the fridge to keep it fresh. He wanted me to bring back the food and he said he will reheat it for me. Now we know how they serve there food. Who knows... it could be a week since it was in the fridge. Fresh please.

Best Pho and various types of dishes in town, I love the beautiful zen decorating, clean and friendly service.

Pretty decent viet vegetarian food. Not sure about others' experiences, but I went Sunday morning and we were seated right away and served in 10 min. We got the bun bo hue and a chicken rice dice and both were pretty good. My friend also got a Vietnamese ice coffee which was a bit sweet, but once the ice melted, it was good.

I’d give them 5 ⭐️’s If they didn’t have some meat items on the menu. Enjoyed the Bun Sa Hue soup, Goi Bap Chuoi. Food was good. Girl with the blond hair was nice.

Foods: 1. Jackfruit salad 4/5 2. Crispy noodles (ap chao gion) took 30 mins to serve 3/5 3. Canh bun as bland as it gets 2/5 Service 1) no one checked on you ever 2) chef took 30 mins to complete a simple dish of ap chao then blame it on the frying noodles. 3) need to train staffs on checking out on customer and stop the talking among them too loud against the background nice music.

Hoa Nguyen Vegetarian Kitchen serves a simple central Vietnamese style vegetarian menu, with a few meat options to accommodate the meat eaters. This is a nice accommodation for groups with vegetarian and nonvegetarian diners. Service here can use room for improvement. They are soooooo slow. Like if this was Vietnamese New Year, and they were my first encounter, I would have to go back inside my house and pray away the bad energy before I can re-emerge. The place was EMPTY aside from 1 other customer and there was 2 young waiters in the front and a few kitchen staff in the back. There is no reason to take forever to take my order. I ordered a Bun Xa Hue ($10) which is a Hue style soup with rice vermicelli, lemongrass, mushroom and tofu. The soup was about average compared to other Vietnamese vegetarian restaurants where I tried the dish. I also had a Rau Ma ($3) which is a refreshing ice pennywort juice. It was a bit overly sweetened even after I let the ice thaw. At the same time I placed my order I also asked for a Goi Mit ($8.75) togo. I asked for the check during the beginning but they only gave me what looked like a check to be paid at the cashier. The definitely had not signed anything. When I approached the cashier he said in Vietnamese, I ALREADY SIGNED FOR YOU, IS THAT OKAY?!?!?! Well isn't it too late to ask me now? Can it be undone? Good thing I had cash on hand to give them tip, but I will be keeping an eye on my credit card charges since I don't know what random stuff he signed off on. And what annoyed me the most was I was in a hurry to leave and THE GOI MIT WASN'T READY YET. What the heck?!?!?! So then I had to wait for them to go make it. And the dude walked out all super super slow. I was like IM IN A HURRY! YOU ARE MAKING ME LATE!! Ugh... So annoying. When I got home I ate the Goi Mit for dinner. It has shredded jackfruit, mixed veggies, peanuts, sesame and white onion. I didn't even like it. I have definitely had better at other Vietnamese vegetarian restaurants. I like the food concepts by Quan Hy and Quan Hop who has the same ownership as Hoa Nguyen, but my experience here was so poor, I don't plan on coming back.

The pictures (especially the menu) need to be removed. Pictures are very deceiving. This place has changed to Pho Bap Hoa -- it's no longer Hoa Nguyen. Under the new name, they have less than ten items on the menu... and only 3 of them is pho?? How can you call yourself a Pho place when you barely have any Pho on the menu?? My group and I were very disappointed when we first arrived and saw the menu. We were so close to leaving but thought that maybe we can order from their sister restaurant, Quan Hy, since the same kitchen. The waitresses told us it'll take at least 30 minutes for any food items from the other restaurant to come since they're busy. We compromised and ordered our main entrees at Pho Bap Hoa and placed some appetizers (banh beo and banh it Ram) from Quan Hy. After about 10 minutes, the waitress came back saying Quan Hy ran out of Banh Beo and Banh It Ram... how the heck... Something sounded too fishy so I went over to Quan Hy about ten minutes after the waitresses told us that... and guess what-- I was able to place an order to go!!! And on top of that, the waitresses rushed me as I'm putting food in my mouth and said, "sorry. We are closing soon." And just started clearing up dishes. There was still 15 minutes left until closing. ‍‍ 1 star for the service 2 star for the limited menu 0 for the misleading advertisement!! Bet you this place will change it's name within the next month. See ya.

Shittiest Pho restaurant in the country. No service. Food suck. In Vietnamese: nhu cai lon que. Dont waste your time and money here.

They had the best vegan banh beo in town. Now it's scrapped. The canh bun and bun thang is still top notch vegan rendition.

I ordered 3 vegan dishes from here: Goi Coun, Goi Mit, and Bun Bo (vegan version of Bun Bo Hue) and I nearly cried because the food was so freaking good!!! Seriously, the BEST vegan Vietnamese I have ever had. The herbs were so fresh and the sides that come with your dish were obviously packed with care. The food here is gourmet. Not sure if it's due to the recent shutdowns but they're only serving a limited selection from their original menu. I've had their Banh Beo and Banh Hoi and was so crazy good! If I lived closer I would eat here every week!
