Cute place in the garden grove Asian mall food court. Food is cooked fresh and portions are big. We ordered the lemongrass beef dish and the pho dish. Both came out piping hot and we could tell it was freshly made (i mean not the pho but you get it). The lemongrass beef was a little on the dry side but the flavors were great and very authentic. I'd be back if I had the time and the food court isn't too insane. I prefer this place over the counter ready food any day.

Yeah. I get it. It's New Year's. It's a madhouse. About a billion people all over the place. But you knew that. Right????You're a Vietnamese place, in a Vietnamese community, during one of the busiest times on the Vietnamese calendar. So you could have prepared a bit. You could have prepped a bunch of food ahead of time. You could have trimmed your menu down for a few days, just to speed things along. You could have created as much organization and order as possible, to cycle as many paying customers as you possibly could through your operation. You might staff the register with the most gifted, sweetheart-under-stress, bilingual employee you could find. Did these guys do any of that???? No. This was the most confounding, illogical, chaotic, experience I've had in some time. The cashier is handwriting orders on the backs of tear-off calendars. She puts all money and makes all change from a big, plastic bussers tub.I don't speak Vietnamese and she doesn't speak English, so when it's clear I don't understand the phrase she's saying, she starts yelling it!She frantically dives into a task, then bails to put out some other fire. And all the while the customers wait........and wait..............and......wait.......And then she's back yelling again trying to make herself heard over the cymbals and the firecrackers. And my Mom, who arrived half an hour after us orders from the booth next door, gets her food and is enjoying it before I get half of our order. For $12 per we got mediocre pho and noodle dishes with lots of bean sprouts, loads of lettuce, plenty of noodles, but almost nothing else. I wasted $50 and an hour of my life for a profoundly dissatisfying meal. And they store their chicken on the ground. Check out the photo!

Kao Binh is the perfect little spot to hit up if you're in need of a quick meal, snack, or drink. The assortment of food items offered is big but very repetitive when it comes to it's neighboring vendors. This review is strictly regarding KB's fresh pressed sugarcane juice which is freshly pressed as you wait. Each cup is made to each order and ensures the freshness factor. Ice levels are customizable but as a forewarning, choosing to go without these chilled cubes will result in a lesser filled cup. Service is pretty fast and the ladies behind the counter are quick to hustle and offer additional items to be added to your current purchase. Speaking Vietnamese ensures a quick visit but patience is key if that doesn't apply to you. When all else fails, just point and pay.

I'm not sure what is up with the low rating? The food was pretty good for me. I got the papaya salad with beef jerky (goi du du) $9 and the mung bean/pandan cake (banh da lon) $3.50. I thought they were good and fresh. Price was reasonable. I will definitely come back.

This place has lots of vietnamese food. They have the typical vietnamese noodles like bun rieu or bun bo hue. If you want to play safe, they also have pho. Fried street food snacks. Balut. They sell sugarcane too. Freshly squeezed.Taste are all just ok. Prices aren't dirt cheap like they used to be. Wouldn't be my go to option but if I'm here and need a quick meal, I'd consider this place or the one on the other corner. A bit of challenge if you don't speak vietnamese. They have pictures and prices but they're not in english. The lady doesn't speak english very well either. But they have numbers on the pictures and menu!

Kao Binh is inside of Phuoc Luc Tho on the first floor. They offer a variety of Vietnamese dishes both pre-made and made to order.I tried their pho chay and their mi quang. Both dishes were really tasty! The pho chay is a vegan pho and it came topped with a huge variety of stuff like carrots, soft tofu, fried tofu, mushrooms, corn, etc. The broth was on the light side but with a little chili oil, it was great. The mi quang similarly came with a wide range of toppings - shrimp, pork, beef, cilantro, fried onions, fish cake, etc. I added a squeeze of lemon, bean sprouts, and chili oil to it, so it was a great mix of savory, sour, and spicy. If you go, be sure to bring cash because I don't think they accept card.

Food is ok. Food prices are inconsistent so be careful if you eat here. I recommend going somewhere else and avoiding the hassle over what they are charging you.

Highly recommended avoiding this restaurant. They charge different prices depending on who you are. The food itself is average at best.
