I wasn't in town when they had their grand opening. I heard enough buzz for me to try this place out. For those who don't know, Lairai in Vietnamese means to slowly enjoy food and drinks with friends! Neat right?Lairai serves up Vietnamese tapas! I ordered their salted eggs chicken wings, crab soup, and grilled octopus. The star dish of lairai is actually their crab, but that is something I would have to get next time since there person I came here with is vegetarian :P The salted egg chicken wings were delicious! Savory and slightly sweet. Grilled octopus paired with spicy kimchi was a good pair - great texture with a kick of smoky and spicy with the kimchi. The soup was a great dish to end the night since it was fairly cold on NYE.I do recommend everyone to come here and try it out. The restaurant is small, but cozy. Vinyl records scattered across the ceiling. Definitely has a nice vintage retro feel

Went there to order the soup. Out. Herbal tea...it's out. What do you have here to sell? No wonder it closed now.

Came here on late night of Saturday because they have crab soup with pig brain and i'm a huge fan of pig brain. When we came in around 11pm, the store was empty, but shortly after our arrivals there were a bunch of other customers came in to order food to go. The soup was good, a bit bland but came with lots of seafood. I think the price was very fair for a huge portion. They have other items in the menu that I would love to try but somehow is currently temporarily closed. Hopefully they open before August!

It was okay but a little disorganized as they got my orders wrong (got the pig's brain soup instead of the grilled fish). I'm not sure if they changed their Cambodia beef because what I got were not slices of beef but ground beef sausage. I liked their salted egg wings but I do not think I will go back for anything else. Maybe in the future I would give it another shot and then revise this review.

[ Location ] Within the T&K plaza. Open parking lot, plenty of parking space at night [ Ambience ] Hip, trendy, intimate space but casual. Good place to grab late night eats with friends. Can order to go or dine in. Love the music soundtrack. [ What we ordered ] Came with the girls for late night eats. Menu is ever evolving with daily specials. Highly recommend ordering any dish with the house special signature salted egg sauce.. so savory and delicious!!! We ordered: *Khoai Tay Chien Sot Trung Muoi & kho ga (signature fries with salted egg sauce & chicken jerky) *Grilled squid with papaya salad *Banh Mi Bo Nuong Campuchia (Cambodian inspired grilled beef with house special buttery spread, and papaya salad) *Cua Rang Sot Trung Muoi (crab with house special salted egg sauce) *Drinks: Mang Cau Me (Soursop Tamarind), Bo Dam Sau Rieng (Avocado & Durian smoothie)

Love the concept here. I'd say the dishes here are reasonably priced and the taste/flavor just seals the deal. This reminds me of something you'd see at a night market in Asia or some authentic street vendor that you'd see in movies. Very appealing! Among the dishes that I've tried, my favorite so far are the giant prawns. Wow these are huge! It was as big as a loaf of bread and I liked dipping the bread all over the sauce. I also really enjoyed the mashed avocado dessert with durian (if you like durian). The service was great! The owner was the only one manning the front floor with all tables full along with more walkins ordering togo. Meanwhile we were still catered and attended to whenever we needed anything. They also have disposable gloves available if we didn't want to get our hands dirty. Can't wait to come back to try more dishes!

Opened recently in the heart of Little Saigon, this night life place served with fusion/street and many more types of food. Made for Togo, this place also have space enough for about 15 - 20 people. There is always something new on the menu to try. I always get the seafood egg drop soup with pork brain and century egg. Sounds interesting? If not, you got to try before you make your own judgement but they are delicious...filled with proteins of mushrooms, quail eggs, pork brain, corns, century egg, crab meats and other seafood. No worries about parking. You may also call in advance to order and pick up so it's faster. Prices are decent for their portions and ofcourse credit cards are accepted. I've been coming back during cold nights to enjoy the hot yummy meals. Just be frank about their food so they can make it better for you next time. :-)

Everything was really good and Service was really nice as well! I was recommended the steak with fries and was not disappointed! I would recommend the chicken wings (both salted egg and nuoc mam are good) and the steak!

Foods here make me feel like i'm in Sai Gon, Viet Nam. Every single dish in here is so delicious. If you are craving for Asian Street Food, this place is definitely your destination.

Wife gets out late so I wanted to take her somewhere that closes late. It is in the Quan Hy area off to the side in case the GPS directions are unclear. Vietnamese street food at slightly higher prices. We ordered the fried corn, cambodian beef on toast with papaya salad, and the pha lau. The corn dish came out pretty fast. A tad bit salty for my wife's taste, but to be expected for the style. The cambodian beef on toast came out about 10 minutes later. It was delicious. I highly recommend it. My wife waited about 30 minutes for the last dish. I asked the owner and he said it would be right out. It was the first time I tried it. My wife likes it well enough, but the bread was rather cold and not toasted well. If you come here bring your water bottle as they don't have any water options aside from 1 dollar bottled water. Expect a long wait time for everything to come out. Food is decent overall, but expensive for the service. You can tell it is probably a family owned and operated business, but they really need to figure out their chain to optimize food production.

Really small place, but very aesthetic and cute inside. Record vinyls cover the ceiling, and the decor was very homey and interesting. The music choice was also great and contributed to the lively and vibrant atmosphere. It's a great place to visit with friends, but I wouldn't take my whole family here due to limited space and seating. The tables are the tops of wooden barrels, and the seats are barstools with no backing. It's a casual place to quickly sit and talk with others. The menu was easy to read, and all the dishes ranged between $4 to $12, with the exception of crab and prawn dishes being upwards of $16. There is English translation too. I ordered the chicken wings with salted egg sauce, grilled squid with spicy salt, and intestines and garlic noodles. All the dishes were hot and made to order, and the standout dish was the chicken wings. They were crispy and smothered in the delicious sauce! The squid was served with a side of kimchi and was also tasty, although the portion size was really small. The intestine dish was really good too, but it's an acquired taste. I ordered the sua chua nep cam drink, or Vietnamese yogurt with black sticky rice pudding. It was SO GOOD! I couldn't stop drinking it. I even looked up the recipe after I went home because it's something I would want to try to make and have again. The service was good, although they are understaffed. People started rolling in pretty quickly, and there was only one cashier and one server. They need to improve their efficiency by streamlining the utensils area because so many people would walk up and get forks, napkins, chopsticks on their own. But this utensil area was on the same table as the cashier, so it interfered with people waiting to order. They should put all the utensils and napkins on the shelf under the menu side of the restaurant. The restaurant is still new and working out its kinks, and I think I would come back for new menu items to try.
