I asked around my vietnamese friends for a Bò kho place suggestion so I tried out this place for to-go. The flavor barely came through and taste was mediocre. Almost $15 per serving really doesn't justify for an average Bò kho. The pic showed 2 servings in my own bowl.

Le Croissant Dore has been our family's breakfast haven for over a decade, and it's high time we shared our long-standing love for this place. The comforting aroma of delicious food and the warm ambiance make each visit a delight. Our go-to favorites, the Beef Stew (Bo Kho) served with French bread and the satisfying Nam Vang egg noodle soup (Mi Nan Vang), have consistently satisfied our taste buds.Despite our joy in exploring nearly every item on their menu, these two dishes have become our regular indulgences. Complementing these delectable meals, their hot tea and coffee always hit the spot, providing the perfect pairing. And the delightful almond cookies? They're a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth. However, a word of advice: if you prefer to avoid cigarette smoke, it's best to request seating away from the door or outside. Older men often gather there for a smoke, and the odor can waft inside, affecting the dining experience. This minor inconvenience aside, the cozy ambiance and consistently friendly service continue to make Le Croissant Dore a top choice for our family's breakfast outings. It's a testament to their quality and a spot we're happy to recommend for a delicious start to the day.

Great food if you sit down! I love their almond cookie that's curved. So good! My mom can devour a whole bag herself if I give her a bag. I'm sad the quality of fruit tart seemed to have gone down over the years. They don't have a full display of cakes in their front case anymore.

Fruit Tart Review - Over the past 20 years, Luh Kwah Saunt Door Ray has supplied countless fruit tarts for my family functions and holiday gatherings. Everyone loves how fresh and perfectly sweet the fruit and custard tastes. From the small round tarts to the large rectangular full size trays, I just order on the phone and they have the tarts ready within a couple of hours. It doesn't seem as if they are very active on social media so the restaurant part has declined quite a bit. Maybe it was empty because I came right before closing, but in its heyday there would be a line out the door. I wouldn't drive out of my way to visit but if you're in the area and looking for a good fruit tart, give them a chance.

***This review is solely based off of Le Croissant Dore's Vietnamese iced coffee***We stumbled across Le Croissant Dore unexpectedly while we were on a hunt for a particular item. With my energy slowly yet consistently draining, I was very open to the idea of a caffeine jolt! I walked in, placed my order for ca phe sua da and waited. My drink comes out shortly after that and WOW! Boy did it hit the spot, taste yummy, and give me that extra push that I greatly needed. 5/5 stars because the coffee itself didn't taste burnt, the flavors where both strong af but had an amazing balance of creamy sweetness. I'd come back here again for this very item and maybe then I'd be able to try out their Bo Kho [vietnamese beef stew]. With the short period of time that I was visiting, I overheard almost every other person ordered that dish!!

Our go to place for fruit tart cake for birthdays! Just the right amount of sweetness without being too overpowering. We've gotten it for so many of our friends and they're all hooked. The Bo Kho is great here as well!

Nice fruit tarts but little pricey though. Wish those prices get re-evaluated. You might need to pre-order for bigger sizes but the phone lady was also busy to help the day I called.

Craved for a baguette dip in Vietnamese beef stew broth aka Bo kho. Loved the tenderness of beef but wish the broth was a bit less tart from tomato paste I assumed. Maybe im used to my dad's bo kho so it didn't meet my expectation in comparison. Also loved that the broth didnt have a strong aroma of star anise like other places'.

The beef stew is delicious. Most come for the food but cheesecake is the hidden gem here.

YASSSSSSSS I LOVE THIS PLACE. It's a been a while since I had their Bo kho which is FIRE!!!!But this review is based on the fruit tart cake. Then the first opened, Le croissant dore only did cakes. It wasn't until later that they added the beef stew. I had the fruit tart cake for the first time this past weekend. I'm used to the Vans Bakery version. In comparison, this one has less pudding and less glaze over the fruit which means the puff pastry part doesn't get mushy. The puff pastry part is also more crunchy and sweet and Le Croissant Dore. So I guess it's a matter of preference. Do you prefer more crunch or more pudding?Honestly I was blown away by Le Croissant Dore's version. I still like both but I really liked the crisp puff pastry. And the fruits were so sweet.
