this is for Son Kieu Restaurant. the owner seems nice but she talks too loud n too much! you can hear her talks in kitchen. she asked me if I wanted pork blood in Bun Bo Hue (togo) or not and I said "NO pork blood, plz" I opened it later. there was 3 NOs: -pork blood ( yes, thanks!!!) -gio -utensils i came with a friend and we ordered 3 dishes but she asked us: "ăn hết không sao order nhiều vậy" kinda rude. dont you wanna sell more? *price increases (i can see that) but they give less amount of food too *expect long wait for your drink to come up, even ice tea

NEW OWNERSHIP-- Trang Tien WAS such a gem but this place is now under new ownership (literally happened within the last month). Poor service, average quality food at best, higher prices. I feel bad even posting this since I know times are tough for restaurants. But, my wife and I drove so far in anticipation of eating our regular entrees at Trang Tien. We will sadly need to find a new restaurant for our Hue food cravings :( The only pros: the restaurant now takes credit card (used to be cash only).

This place is such a gem in Little Saigon. Rather than going to a big popular place like Brodard or Quan Mii, this time we have decided to try out a small mom and pop restaurant in the heart Little Saigon and we left surprisingly satisfied! Their food is very authentic and homey. The lady who served us was super nice, even though we got in at 6:30 pm (they close at 7 pm), she provided recommendations and patiently explained how to eat them. Everything was tasty and new to me, they don't serve any typical Vietnamese food like Pho or vermicelli, their menu is also all in Vietnamese but with pictures. The bill was less than $50 after tip and tax for 4 people. They also take Venmo if you have no cash on hand!

I went to this place pre June 15th when CA opened up. I was excited because I was craving some banh beo and banh bo lap. Upon arriving, I was happy to see the mandatory masks signs posted oustide. I was surprised to see that it was now renamed and rebranded. Likely new ownership. The tables were super close together and the lady server was not wearing her mask half the time. Food: eh. The noodles for the Mi Quang were very weird and the soup itself was ok. The banh beo was not impressive and they did not have any banh bo pal. Service: POOR. The service is really really bad here. Not only are they unmasked (prior to this being lifted), but the server was taking our order then literally walked away to greet her friend at the door then walked back to the kitchen. We had to call her back. Overall, I would NOT got here again. I am disappointed with the food and service.

Tried this place because of the great review on yelp but left disappointed. It looks like there have been new owners. The menu and name is different so no combo appetizer with banh bao, banh it, etc. They advertised they specialize in bun bo hue and bun mam but both had overcooked meat. The bun bo hue broth seems like some standard broth that they used for all the soup because it was not lemongrass beef flavor but taste shrimp-like with a hint of lemongrass. Since they don't have the combo appetizer anymore we order banh beo and it seems stale (not freshly made today). Also, the menu is only in Vietnamese and you can only pay in cash. Lastly, no outdoor table available and they pack the place like sardine...not 6 feet apart.

My favorite spot that serves Hue food whenever I visit LA! I live on the east coast where no viet restaurant serves Hue food, even though we have a pretty big viet population in my area. We ordered mi quang, banh canh tom cua and a sample of different types of banh Hue. Everything was super yummy with good portion! We ordered small size for the two noodle dishes and still couldnt finish! We'll definitely come back next time we visit LA :)

I wanted to try something new for Vietnamese food and came across this small restaurant. Their food menu was simple, affordable and I love how they have pictures on their menu! I ordered eggrolls for the kids and their seafood crab and shrimp soup and it was delicious! The seasoning on the soup was perfect, and a good portion. The service was great, it was a young bubbly friend girl. I will definitely come back again.

The customer service is great! We found the owners very helpful. Good food. Nice variety of central cuisine of Vietnam. In an area with so many business, it nice that food pick up is convenient and good quality. We appreciate it during pandemic.

The brightest culinary gem found in the sea of restaurants in Little Saigon! Family owned and family made, this HUE INSPIRED RESTAURANT is the best authentic Vietnamese restaurant in OC hands down. Let the photos speak for themselves

I don't know if the chef was having a bad day, but I was unpleasantly surprised at the quality of food I received. I ordered my usual - some banh beo, banh khot, and banh nam (rice cakes). It was a big order, about $60, otherwise I wouldn't have cared to write this review. The banh nam came out soggy and was just mush in my mouth, and the banh khot was undercooked/not crispy. There's a lot of places in the OC so I won't be coming back here.

This spot is cheap and delicious ordered the bò kho and bún thịt nớng & bánh bột lọc. Everything came out fast and good. You should definitely try if you want hue style food. Can't wait to try other stuff on the menu. Order there fresh cha it come with two piece and order.

I was surprised the food here is pretty good, a little bit in the salty side. The customer service was great.

Found this place on Yelp. Food was very good. Small family business. Restaurant was clean. Service was good . Cash or Venmo only.

Wonderful family restaurant with all specialties from Hue. My mom and dad would approve. Small place but clean, great service and food. A hole in the wall, hoping not too many people find out about this place. Had banh beo, banh it and com hen. Not too many places can make this dish correctly but they hit it on the nail here. Yummy!
