I feel bad for giving this place a 3 stars cause I was hoping their banh bao would be really good given the name and the lady helping us was extremely nice. We were there on a Saturday noon and it was empty we were the only customers so I felt weird for getting just one bao. So I got a box of number 1 pork and quail eggs, and a few other things. I asked to eat one out of the box so she heated it up for me cause I was excited to try it and make it my new go to baos. Unfortunately the filling wasn't up to expectations, it was somewhat bland felt like regular ground pork. The skin was fluffy so it saves it but I like a flavorful pork filling and the bao didn't have that wow factor. It was edible but wouldn't get the bao again...not sure what else to come here for. Sad cause I really liked that lady

We love the pork & quail egg baos! The bun breading was soft, fluffy, and just a little chewy - perfect for our preference actually. Comparing to other spots, it's less sticky than TP banh bao, & softer than THH & bao n baguette. Vua is our favorite so far between the shops that we've tried! The meat to bun ratio was decent, and flavoring was good as well - a little peppery in some bites, but we really enjoyed it. I ordered a box via Doordash & I think the price was the same (slight discount on box quantity ~$2.45 each and $16 for a box), and I was super grateful that it arrived hot & fresh! Iced Vietnamese Coffee was delicious too, strong and creamy, just how I like it. :)

Delicious food & drinks plus amazing service! The elder lady that helped us was also really sweet. We got several different kinds of Banh Bao, and all we're so good. The sponge cake with cream cheese, pork floss, and salted eggs was so good. Wild combo but as a Vietnamese it just makes sense and tasted so dang GOOD! We also had the Snow Peach with crystal jelly. It was the perfect balance of sweat and creamy plus crunchy/chewy bite of the crystal jelly. The inside is spacious with a few tables to sit as well.

My dad and I decided to check out this bánh bao spot in OC while visiting. We usually frequent other places for banh bao, but we were pleasantly surprised with this place! The service was really kind and friendly, I'm surprised it's not busier here.We got a bunch of boxes of various baos to take home. In store we tried the quail egg and pork one, which is a must have classic. I really enjoyed this one and it tastes great when fresh and piping hot. We also tried the beef one in store, which I thought was just okay. A little bit too sweet for my liking for a savory bao. The durian one was really good though! Perfectly sweet and creamy, with fresh tasting durian. The avocado snow drink I was skeptical about at first but ended up being really good! It wasn't too sweet and very creamy. Would stop by again if I'm in the area

It's very good tasting, and we will stop by again. Just 1 thing the size needs to be bigger a little more.

Delicious buns. My favorites are the chicken egg and bbq pork. The bun is very fluffy, not dense. For $13 per box is an awesome deal.

The two little boys who were working as the cashiers were absolutely adorable, a woman came out to assist and she was a gem. We were looking for something in particular and since they didn't carry it she referred me to another store nearby that she thought was the best, and I must agree. Honesty is the best policy. We ended up getting a few snacks and a brown sugar milk tea here which I have to say, east coast to west coast, this one was the best one we have ever had! Highly recommend!

Been craving banh bao lately, and since Vua Banh Bao happened to be on the way, I thought why not? It's a pretty unassuming place from the outside, but when you walk in, it's open, spacious, and clean. They offer a variety of Vietnamese snacks and to-go foods, but their main specialty is their banh bao, so we ordered the quail egg ver. and the chicken egg ver. The older lady taking our order was super sweet and she packed them up in a jiffy. We were in and out within 3 minutes. The banh bao itself was steaming hot and tasted savoury upon the first bite. My sister is super picky with the bun, but she was also quite satisfied as well. The bun wasn't too thick, but rather thin and fluffy; it did not take away from the filling. Although, I do wish the banh bao was bigger, at least for the price we were paying for since other places (on the same street even, iykyk) charge less at a bigger size. I don't know if they taste as good though, but then again, it's up to y'all. For us, we'll for sure be coming back.

Finally got around to try this place and wish I hadn't. Tried xiu mai and thit nguoi banh mi's and both I thought were below par in both quality and taste, and obviously overpriced by at least a couple bucks at $6 apiece. Saw many bite-sized pate chauds left in the glass display, thought about trying one and the cashier dude said they were $1.75 EACH and understood why no one is buying. Not coming back, I give these folks a few months more at best to stay open judging by how few customers were inside.

Happy Time

Best dumplings I've ever eaten!

Was looking all over for Bánh tét for my family & came across this place & also ordered Vietnamese coffee, banh mi & banh bao. I must say. They are tasty & authentic. I guess this place is known for their banh bao. It was good alright. The lady was nice & very helpful too.
