Finally got around to trying this spot. It is hidden in the corner of the shopping center, but a must try. Tried the agua de pina and papaya, very refreshing and natural tasting. The molcajete mixto was for two people, but Im sure it could feed three. The chorizo and cheese were my favorite. The tortilas were so good and authentic. The service was great, our server was very nice. The place was very clean and well maintained.

I'd been wanting to go here since the saw their banner out on the curb. We went once witht he intention of having dinner only to be told they were closing early because it was a slow night. So, we had to wait for a later date to try them. Had their Tlayuda Mixta, which was very good. We ordered a kid's asada fries and asked if they could put mole on the fries. How much mole could they possibly put on a kid's serving of fries? I would have paid extra, no problem. Thank bateas, they said they couldn't do it, but they could sell me an order of mole. So, instead of charging me a little extra for a couple of tablespoons full of mole, I had to buy a $6 side order. That was the I Ku thing I didn't like. Otherwise, food is good, the server was pleasant, the place looks clean, and they have a decent menu.

Hidden gem in Whittier. I was a little hesitant to try this spot out but once I did I regretted never going sooner. Service was great and the food was amazing. My sister and I got the molcajete and it was perfect. Everything was seasoned right and it was so filling we even took a lot home with us. This is a hole in the wall but that's where you'll find real authentic Mexican food. If your looking for authentic Oaxaca food this is the spot to go too.

Service is good, the fried quesadilla was good as well as the memelitas for my kids plate. I'm into spicy mole but my mom likes their version and it's on the sweeter side (mole negro). The phone number listed is incorrect, the correct number is (562) 273-5707.

I've been wanting to try this spot out and finally had the chance to. We went mid week around lunch time. It wasn't busy and service was great, the waitress was friendly and helpful. I ordered the a hot chocolate and it was delicious. Also, ordered the Caldo de res and the flavor of the broth was good but the meat wasn't tender at all or I would've given them 5 stars. Other than that it was a great experience. Plenty of parking and service was great. I'll go back and try other items.

New hidden gem in Whittier. I think they just open but wow, food is amazing. First off, their chips and salsa are on point! Next, we had the Huevos con Chorizo and Breakfast Burrito and dang, they know what they are doing. Love the service and the decor is very within their culture! Great experience. Definitely coming back!

If you are looking for authentic Oaxacan food this is a must try spot. I came in for lunch and ordered taquitos and a Michelada. The ingredients were super fresh and delicious. I could tell that the taquitos have been made fresh just for me. On top of the amazing food the service was top quality. I ordered a side of mole to dip my taquitos inside and that was the best decision I had made the entire week. The food was super yummy, the Michelada was perfectly spicy, and the service was the best I have had in a really long time.

This place is horrible. Took 45 minutes to get food. Waitress was rude and not attentive. Tlayudas are filled with more cabbage than anything. We were looking forward to trying this new place. Extremely disappointed. Waitress made our family feel like a nuisance. Even when food took forever. Overpriced and not worth even sitting down. Portions were skimpy. Would never come back again

We wanted some chorizo con huevo breakfast so we decided to go here. We arrived and were greeted very nicely and walked to our table. We ordered drinks which arrived pretty fast and ordered shortly after. There were only 5 people in the restaurant but it took almost 25 minutes to get our food which is a bit much. Once getting the food we couldn't even eat it because it was extremely salty, we thought by adding spicy salsa it'd make it better but no it didn't help. The tortillas were not great either. The lady who served us was really nice I think that was the only good thing about our experience. I'm surprised because their tlayudas are pretty good but oh well.

Oh my beautiful yelpers, you never let me down! The food was amazing, just truly delicious and well presented. I absolutely love them all day, some thing that I just can't seem to find and good quality anywhere. I had the mole negro, my wife the mole colorado. Everything was perfectly cooked, the chicken was juicy and delicious. My wife had enchiladas with her, and she said the chicken was just perfectly done. Usually when you get enchiladas anywhere, the chicken is too dry, they overcook it. Not here. Tortillas de maiz were delicious, all hand made. That I was Fresca's were delicious, well worth the money. I ordered a Jamaica and it was not overly sweet but perfectly well tart. They make everything here, you can tell. Parking wasn't a problem, it's a very centrally located as somebody else had mentioned. You really can't miss it. I didn't get a chance to use the restroom here but I will tell you that everything was super clean: tables, chairs, etc. I was really charmed by the decor, very colorful and welcoming; I love the Alebrijes! The wait staff, while light for a Sunday afternoon on a holiday weekend, was super professional and attentive. I can't wait to come back for the tlayda. A+!

Had take out. We ordered just after 2pm and they had already run out of the sesina meat, which is strange as that is the primary reason to going for Oaxacano style meats. The food seemed a bit salty. It wasn't bad but...I don't know. Service was great. Tortillas were fresh but only two were given with each meal.
