This place was fantastic. The food tasted homemade and some of their items were unique in a good way. I loved their Machete and Agua Mineral preparada. The drink was super refreshing. I also tasted the green posole which had nixtamal instead of the canned hominy. I liked that instead of two plain tostadas they were garnished with veggies and refried beans. It makes a big difference in enjoying your pozole. I also sampled my husbands quesadilla which was also delicious. I like that they make their masa based items with fresh masa. It makes a difference over the already, refrigerated, stuff. If there is a complaint it's that you are practically sitting in the kitchen. The dining area is small. It might be best to do take-out. I suspect they will have to move to a bigger location. They hit it out of the park with this place!

La comida era absolutamente deliciosa, había tres señoras atrás preparando deliciosa comida mexicana. Tuve los nopales con huevo y estaban deliciosos. No solo la comida era deliciosa, sino que las tortillas además estaban hechas a mano y frescas. Si va a recoger comida, la mantendrán caliente para que su comida aún esté fresca.

Restaurant opens a little on the late side for Menudo, came for the first time. when we came in we noticed cleanliness and a very cute decor. Ordered a cafe de olla which was made just perfect sweetness and the right amount of cinnamon, our order was menudo, huevos rancheros and pozole. The menudo had a really good flavor but the meat was overwhelming over cooked and big pieces some was dark like if it was from a different day(still ate until full) the huevos rancheros were good, white pozole was great since it wasn't hominy from a can plenty of meat too and good amount of garnishes it also came with two prepared tostadas with beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and cheese. Service was excellent.
This is a small mom and pop taqueria with phenomenal food and hospitality. Everything is fresh and delicious. The salsas are incredible. We had the chips with salsa and bean dip, al pastor and carne asada tacos on handmade tortillas, and quesabirria tacos with consommé. Everything was excellent - we can't wait to go back! Very reasonably priced and excellent portion sizes too.

The staff are all very friendly here. The ambiance is very cute & vibey but it's very small inside. The best thing we got was the chilaquiles! So much flavor & the chips were still crispy. However, the eggs were over cooked, we ordered them over easy. They also gave us small sides of beans which were also very good and flavorful. We also pordered the machaca con huevos which were just ok. I liked that they had big cuts of the peppers and onions but I wish they were cooked more to be softer. I would give this place another try since we live 2 minutes away.

Grrrr... I almost don't want to tell you guys how good this place is lol but the owners are so sweet, they deserve their praise and recognition. The food was very fresh and very authentic. The portion sizes are great, good value for your money. It's in a small strip mall so parking is a little challenging , but other than that I cannot wait to come back! I had the huevos con Nopales as well as the Chilaquiles. Again, everything was super tasty and authentic. Another Whittier hidden gem!
