Super happy to have this family owned business in whittier. Be sure to order your pork medium well if pink pork bothers you. Friendly. Good quality. We'll be back for sure.

Nice little gem we recently found. Place was clean & inviting and one of the cooks did a great job explaining the menu to us. We ordered the cheese Katsu meals and the portions are perfect! Really enjoyed the salad and dressing that topped it. Bowl of miso and rice were the perfect touch to complete the meal. Cheese katsu was amazing and the food was hot and fresh and the service was great. Definitely going to put this on our list of "places to return to"

This place is a total gem. After seeing so many failed restaurants here, I have to say I REALLY hope this one works out. I don't eat beef or pork so my options were quite limited (duh, lucky PIG). I asked the cashier if I could do the shrimp katsu as a "combo" akin to their pork dishes; after some thought she rang me up for the shrimp, rice, and salad separately (total of $18, if I recall) and threw in the miso for free! My (non-Korean friend got the omurice. Shrimp and dipping sauce was drool worthy. The fry was near perfection and the dip was a perfect compliment. Cabbage was SO thinly sliced - I couldn't help but be impressed. Rice was a major fail, however. My friend had never had omurice before and gave it a go. I had a bite after clarifying the sauce didn't have meat only to find the fried rice did (doh!). Very strange that the sauce is ketchup-based but warm(?!?!) but.....realllllly good. Definitely going back in the near future to try their other dishes. And just to check off the green tags in yelp's algorithm: 1. Service was great! Cashier was kind and took her time with guests while staying busy helping the chef during a busy lunch rush. 2. Ambiance is super cute with cute art work with pig-related puns.

What a treat! This place hits the spot ALL the time. The food is delicious and I can't wait to go back. My kids love it here as well.

Hello Yelpers!!! Amazing, delicious, and divine katsu. Best katsu from Whittier to Buena Park. Pros: 1. Katsu 2. Miso soup 3. Interior seating Cons: NONE

Such a good spot! I don't have to drive to Buena Park for some good Korean food. We have a great spot here in Whittier now. Everything we tried was perfect, they even have some Mexican sodas to go with your food. Perfect match

Decent food. Good salad and Katsu. Order at the register and they will bring the food to you.

I have worked in a Japanese katsu restaurant for more than two years when I was in college students, so my expectation is higher than anybody else. But this place is the best. Literally best katsu I have ever had.

Remember to order at the register inside. It's a smaller restaurant with an open concept kitchen. Everything felt so neat and minimalist. We ordered the omurice and hire katsu. Man oh man the katsu was a 10/10! The exterior was so light and crispy while the pork was very tender. Probably the best katsu I've ever had. The omurice didn't disappoint. The tomato ketchup sauce made it very flavorful. It could be too flavorful for some people though. Throughout the dish I also tasted hints of truffle. Prices were decent and portions were enough. I would definitely come back here for my katsu cravings.

Everything was so delicious and the service was great! Among the food, the Hire Katsu and Yuzu Panna Cotta are a must!! Will be coming back to try their other dishes.

I ordered the cheese katsu to go it was amazing, soooo cheesy, I would've liked maybe a little more pork to cheese ratio but I love cheese so much I can't complain it was fantastically yummy. I ordered Togo and the order was ready and hot when I got there. The restaurant is small inside and all the tables were full at around 8 pm on a Thursday night. I was happy to see that though, as I really enjoyed my meal and hope this place lasts in this spot unlike its numerous predecessors.

The food and the service were great. Pricing was good and the quality of the Katsu was really great. The meat was juicy and tender. The omurice wasn't my favorite but my dining companion did enjoy it. It is a smaller restaurant but we were able to grab seating. The cheese Katsu was very cheesy. Love the wasabi to cut through the fried food.

Their food made me seriously ill. I got horrible headache and bloated stomach and end up not being able to sleep the whole night. Definitely undercooked meat. The need more sensitive person as their chef, otherwise one of these days they are going to seriously harm another person.
