Silver Palace is one of the best Chinese food restaurants I've been to in a while, the reason they get 4 stars is because the chow mein was super dry and they didn't even include hot sauce like we asked.

I love everything about this business. A small crowded space of a restaurant but the food is top notch. I usually will get my food taken out especially on the weekends since there's usually a line to get a seat. The ambiance is typical Chinese 70- 80 style inside but the menu is excellent and extensive. If they don't have your dish on the menu just tell them what you want and they'll probably prepare it for you. These days all restaurant prices are going up and here is no exception. I like the typical dishes, Kung Pao Chicken, broccoli beef and I love vegetables so any of the three meat Chop Suey (chicken,beef,shrimp). I also like their popcorn shrimp and their egg foo young. Give this Whittier institution a try. You won't be disappointed!

Got excited to try this place out. Nothing special. The Kung pao chicken was pretty good but the chow main was not good... dry and needs more flavor. Honey walnut shrimp also lacking in flavor. The hot and spicy soup was ok. Place is packed and busy. Staff is nice and fast service. Dont think I will be back.

The food is great but the customer service lacks. Our order was wrong and all Mrs. Sherry said was, “Oh ok” and walked away. What happened to customer service? How about saying, “I am sorry, let me go ahead and take that and make you your order” but nooooo she just said “Oh Ok” and walked away. Not only that but it seemed like she was rushing us and trying to order for us. The other waiters were super friendly and on top of it.

We have eaten from here many times but this time, the food was terrible! We picked up so I have no comment on service or ambiance. But the food... Wonton soup had wontons almost exclusively made from dough- not sure there was more than a drop of meat with a leaf or two of cabbage. The most disappointing was the rock cod with asparagus. I'm not sure what fish it was, but it was flavorless and the asparagus was so thick, we couldn't chew. what happened? is there a new owner?

Exceptional... period. From the moment my wife and I walked in our service was impeccable. We were immediately greeted and seated where we wanted to sit not where "they" wanted us seated. The gentleman brought our menus, warm tea, a small egg flower soup and water before we could even take our jackets off. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce and my wife ordered the shrimp chow mien with rice noodles and bean sprouts. Both of our meals were on point and delicious. The shrimp were beyond tender and perfectly cooked. I do have to say that my wife's chow mien had the most delicious taste I've ever had the pleasure of tasting in a chow mien dish. Basically I thought to myself, "this has to be the best Chinese food I've ever tasted in my life". Believe me when I say this... I am the hardest person on earth to please when it comes to food and this dish was incredible. What a pleasure it was eating here. We'll be back for sure because I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how they made this so tasty. Keep it up guys because you deserve all 5 stars for quality of food, service and the economical prices you offer.
