2nd visit with same expectations from previous visit which was a nice dinning experience. Unfortunately that didn't happen and sad to say won't be visiting again. Plenty of parking and location has inside and outside dining. Good for large parties. We sat inside. Ac could have been lower because it got a bit warm. For the bad part, the energy of the place was really low, it felt like waiting at the dentist, only difference is that there is music in the background. The only music heard came from the kitchen. We asked the group next to us about energy and they agreed. Service was awful. Can't sugar coat that. Our waitress was not welcoming at all. She looked tired and uninterested in working. When I asked for coffee refill she didnt give eye contact or gave me answer, just walked away letting me wonder if she heard me or not. She came back, poured coffee and I said "thank you" she didn't say anything and walked away. It's unfortunate how bad service results in a loss of customers. Food was good. Steak was well cooked and eggs were tasteful. No complaints about food, people in my grouped liked their food. Pricing was a bit high but that's LA county for you, prices and taxes all went up.

Cute spot, we came for Mother's Day weekend but felt like the heater was on inside which was weird for mid May, at least we ended up sitting on the patio which is nice and covered

Was in the neighborhood and craving brunch, so gave this place a visit. Overall, I was very pleased! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is really cute. I also love that they use the Yelp waitlist feature so you can plan your wait (everyone needs to be using this feature at this point). Service was great, everyone is incredibly nice and gets your food out quickly too. The food was fantastic as well. Got the simple breakfast and while it's on the pricier side, the portions are HUGE. Everything was cooked to perfection, and their marble rye toast was excellent. I also got their rose lemonade which actually tasted like rose and wasn't too sweet. If I ever find myself in this area I'll be sure to stop by again, a solid 4.5/5 star spot!

I recently went to the Downey location and the eggs were definitely generic(liquid eggs). When it first opened, they used real eggs and my children even noticed the change in quality and taste. We will not return.

Really expensive overpriced breakfast. Bacon and eggs $20. Hotel prices. In a strip mall, not very nice. J

Great place for a delicious breakfast and to catch up with friends. The service is very friendly. It's a warm and inviting atmosphere. This is especially true of the outdoor seating.

The environment was clean and modern. It was like I was in a fresh, new shiny place. The service was excellent even though the place was very busy. I had the basic breakfast which met my expectations. There were a few adventurous items available. I look forward to seeing the menu expand with more toast related items and less items I can get anywhere. I will continue to patronize this place to see what happens in the future.

This might be my favorite brunch restaurant in the world. Their red velvet pancake is ginormous, not too sweet and perfect for two or three people (the pumpkin spice version is very bland). My go to dish is the chimichurri on rye toast. The steak is tender, seasoned and grilled to perfection and the sunny side egg and chimichurri sauce is the icing on the cake and I also get crispy potatoes (you'll thank me later). For the drinks I always go for the unicorn lemonade that comes with a small glass of clear syrup I believe that changes your lemonade from blue to pink. I know it sounds silly but it's a cool experience and it actually taste amazing. It does get a bit busy but I assure you you'll be the happiest of campers when you leave toast. The staff is always polite and professional. It does take a while for the food to come out but you'll know why when you taste the love that goes into the dishes. The restaurant is decorated beautifully white light tones. I love sitting in the outdoor patio which has plenty of shade.

The food was just okay! I got the chorizo egg on toast and it was good but not great. The place itself was cute and I like that it felt family run. Not too busy on a Sunday so a great place for brunch. The real star for me was their Mexican chocolate latte!! It was delicious. In fact, it was so good that not only did I have one with my breakfast, I ordered one to go for later. I would definitely come back just to try their other coffee options!

We walked in and the hostess was so rude. She just said "there's no tables." We asked how long she said 1 hour but she was so mean we just left.

Bennys are excellent. Coffee is hot and strong. Atmosphere is relaxing. Price a bit high.

This place is very cute and in a plaza you won't expect. Both the food and service were amazing! Their food is not over seasoned like a lot of other places, but it's still flavorful. The staff are very friendly there and the food was served quickly.
