Wow!! They have stepped up the game at Ol’ Rusty’s since they have gotten new ownership. They have brought in fresh local produce and a fresh take on the local dinner usuals. You can taste the difference. I recommend the garlic, pesto, fries, and the Rice Crispies Fried Chicken Sandwich! Like next level good!!!!Kid-friendliness: And there is a play pen in back of restaurant!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out

Boy wonder

Seems like a new owner. We were strangers passing through and were very glad to find this restaurant. The new owner was our waiter, cook and cashier. Running a one man show that afternoon. All went well. We could tell that the locals appreciated his pie making skills as there was a lengthy list of Christmas pies that had been ordered in advance. Try it!

What a find!!!! On a roadtrip from Ohio and decided to stop and eat here. Delicious food! I had the country fried steak with eggs and homefried potatoes. My husband had the steak tacos. Both were so good I wished we could have stayed and ate again the next day. Oh and the milkshakes are delicious. Definitely dont skip getting one. Finding a gem like this on a road trip is amazing. The outside doesn't look like much but just stop. You won't be sorry.

No need to wait to be seated. The service was excellent and on top of everything. The food was great and plentiful. The hot cakes were huge and delicious. They're not those premade type of pancakes, someone actually cooked them. The eggs Benedict was so so but not something we'll order again. I definitely want to come back in.

I'm pretty confident this was the single worst meal I've ever had. I had the breakfast sliders (egg sausage sandwiches) and a Pepsi and my friends had the vegetarian eggs benedict with a side of fries and sierra mist. Wait time was around 50 minutes, however, certain parts of our food were ready after 20 and sat on the counter getting cold. I'm not sure if they have a hot bar like any modern restaurant but it is unacceptable to have dishes ready that far apart. Any halfway decent cook knows the fundamental skill of having all the food to be ready at similar times. Where to start on the food itself. My initial reaction to my breakfast sandwiches was just "Oh it's a breakfast sandwich". Implying that it was nothing special or notable, but the farther I got it the worse it was. The temperature varied throughout the sandwich between lukewarm and cold. The sausage patty was cut half the size of the English muffin, so only half of the sandwich had sausage on it. The eggs were overdone and the entire meal was so bland and lacking flavor. Besides the slight taste of the sausage I just flat out did not taste anything when eating my meal. My friend's vegetarian eggs benedict had simply muffin, hollandaise, poached egg, and an insane amount of slimy spinach. Yet somehow was more expensive than the normal eggs benedict with ham on it. Again, pounds of slimy spinach, fresh out of the squeeze tube hollandaise, a tasteless egg, and cold muffins. To quote someone who orders eggs benedict every time we get breakfast after eating this meal "I never want to have eggs benedict again". The fries were pretty decent if they hadn't sat for 30 minutes getting cold and lacked any flavor whatsoever. At least the sodas were good is what I would like to say. My Pepsi was incredibly flat and tasted stale. I don't completely fault the restaurant for this as Pepsi just sucks in general, but Coke wasn't an option. The Sierra mist tasted like the machine lacked syrup, co2 and hadn't been cleaned in years. That was just the food. The atmosphere of this place is atrocious. I physically cannot explain how bad and uncomfortable it was to sit here. Between the blizzard decorations and lack of theme, the Amazon basics "artwork" and random books on the counter displayed in a line. There's so much more but you just can't do it justice how uncomfortable it was to be in that space. Finally the service. After the long wait time for food (in a mostly empty restaurant) we got disappointed by our meals and we were ready to leave immediately. However, it seemed we were stuck at the table forever. After waiting a patient amount of time for the check we then stacked our plates in a manner that showed it was obvious we were done. Still no after making eye contact with the waitress and signaling. We wondered if maybe we had to go to the counter to pay, but then saw here quickly bring the check to the one other table. So after waiting more we eventually walked up to the counter to pay and proceeded to be treated rudely by the waitress.I'm not that picky about places to eat, I overlook minor quips constantly. But EVERYTHING that could be wrong with this place was. I felt scammed after paying to eat here. The ONLY thing they did right is the name. Because the food really does taste Rusty.
