I think everybody complains too much they complain because they took few minutes for their food. Is everybody in America finicky and too pushy you are not a king little babies grow up the food is the best is the bomb. I don’t complain. I think there’s competition but I think it’s old-school cuisine they’re all school and for you to eat here you have to have patience you have to have a lot of patience cause everything is fresh. That’s why it takes long cause they cook it fresh not like the other place. I think you need to come and try yourself and start listening to the Karen’s and Kevin‘s out there over there to pick up their food. This is not loyalty food or royalty food. It’s just regular citizen food but it’s fresh our recommend to listen to other peoples and try yourself, and be honest about your questions and your answers respect

The best soup dumplings in the West San Fernando Valley. ? Upscale, modern, but still feels family owned. The beef roll was definitely a pleasant surprise. Had never had it before. THE SHORT RIB FRIED RICE IS PHENOMENAL!!! The chicken dumplings are soooo yummy, I craved them for a week after we had them. Grab some friends and enjoy this awesome modern Chinese restaurant ????
Disappointed with Oxtail Soup, Short Rib Dan Mein Noodles Saved the Day-The spicy oxtail soup arrived missing key ingredients like leeks, green onions, and mustard greens, making it a bland noodle dish with minimal beef. However, the short rib Dan Mein noodles were flavorful and enjoyable.

Finally, I tried this joint out, and I absolutely love it. Fast and friendly service.We ordered pretty much every category, and nothing disappointed.Nice to know if I have a craving for xiao long bao, I can avoid din tai fung long wait and just go up the street.

Went for lunch on a Sunday, we were seated asap since there were only about 5 other tables taken. Clean restaurant, great spot across from lucille's bbq.. lots of sunshine/bright since it has a lot of windows. I ordered the spicy oxtail noodle soup, pork & shrimp dumplings, and pork soup dumplings. The bowl of soup that its served in is sooooo darn small. It had shredded beef, NOT OXTAIL!, green onions, and 1 piece only of vegetable (bokchoy). The taste was alright but it was not spicy at all!!!!! I asked the waitress and told her that it wasn't spicy at all. She looked at me with a blank stare. She asked if we wanted siracha or chilli oil which the oil wasnt also spicy. I wanted the actual "spicy" that was totally missing from the soup. The soup was lacking. I was expecting so much more! I politely mentioned that if the soup was served with a bigger bowl with a couple more veggies thrown in, a little more soup, it would be better from a customers pov. Anyway, She said "i just work here". She could at least just say she would relay the message to the owner. ? Just positive criticism to help. Back to the food: The dumplings were soggy and fell apart as soon as I grabbed it with my chopsticks. Overcooked. They were ok. Honestly, the trader joes dumplings are better. I'm sorry. The soup dumplings were also just ok. Nothing spectacular. Dont get me wrong, dan has A LOT of potential! They just need to add a little bit more for the customer. I left there feeling like something was missing! The vibe is off, something! I was also super hungry still when I left!

Having dined in and ordered for takeout/delivery, I can comfortably say Dan is consistent with quality and flavors. My favorites are the noodles, especially the short rib noodles, and the cucumber salad. The fried rice has also been a hit for us. Portions are good to share, think family style. The soup dumplings and beef rolls are wonderful, too, though I haven't ordered those for delivery since I prefer to eat those fresh. While portions are good, prices are also a bit higher than you may expect, especially if ordering from home. Still, it's well worth the quality and flavors. It's a sizable space with an inside/outside option. It gets busy, but service has never been lacking. You can find them by Lucille and Eureka. Parking is available in the lot of Westfield Topanga. There's a little parking lot nearby from Dan, but it's always such a mess to navigate so I prefer to park and get some steps in.

Been to Dan's several times and the food is great. Decent size menu with portion size on the average however the service is terrible simply because they are severely understaffed. The past 4 times I've been to Dan's, there has been 1 server and 1 busser with approximately 10 active tables. 2 outside and 8 inside. I feel bad cause those two employees are working extremely hard but ownership needs to step up and support their employees/find workers. Bad service outweighs everything else. No longer coming here.
