I drove from Santa Monica to meet a friend for spountanic dinner plans.Service was a bit meh, and the sushi, though alright, drowned a bit too much in sauce for my liking. I’m all about that fresh sushi vibe, you know? The ambiance was fantastic – not too quiet, not too crazy. Bonus: free parking made things easy. Overall, it was a mixed but handy experience. This place has excellent quality sushi and great customer service. This is the place to go if you can’t get into sugarfish nearby and want an excellent meal. You will be thrilled. Doesn’t look like much from the outside. Well worth a visit. Everything is super fresh and tasty
I bought sushi role for the first time from this place. It was not fresh at all and it is expensive too…not recommended

This is some of the best sushi I've had! I reccomend the special rolls on the back of the menu and getting the spicy mayo sauce. The service is great and the waiters are nice. It has a good atmosphere too. Most of the rolls re in the $15-20 price range, but it's very worth it. Would come back later

I grew up eating a lot of Japanese food and am very picky with sushi, and this sushi bar is excellent if you are looking for real traditional sushi. I have a hard time finding sushi places that feel like they are worth the cost. The sushi was very fresh and high quality. Their nigiri had large pieces of fish and not too much rice (unlike the Americanized sushi that has a ton of rice and a thin sliver of fish). We had their salmon, tuna, bluefin tuna, albacore, squid, salmon roe, and a few rolls. All were excellent. Their seaweed was fresh and toasted and rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly. They do have a 15 percent gratuity for dine in they include and have signs posted inside. It was unclear if this is an included tip or more of a fee. My guess is that they are trying to offset their costs increasing due to inflation without compromising on quality- which is well worth it.

nice place for quick sushi lunch. not really fancy but still good. i was there today for lunch and service was good along with nice rolls sizes. will come back for lunch.
