Such a great gem! The food is delicious and the staff is so pleasant. I bought schwarma in a laffa chicken breast and falafel and they gave me sides and french fries. Really good place !!!

I have been to the Encino, Woodland Hills and tarzana locations. I personally love the Woodland Hills and tarzana locations, but the Encino location has been a bit too hectic at times. The hectic nature can be overwhelming, and the service can also be sacrificed when the staff focuses on expediency instead of service. With that said, the food is always delicious and fresh. I usually order the chicken plate, and I get my kids the hamburgers and French fries. I love that you can pick your sides with the plates. The eggplant is delicious, and I'm a big fan of the Israeli cabbage salad. The Tel Aviv grill cabbage salad is among my favorite.

Tel Aviv is delicious, fresh, and so much food! Apologies for not taking a picture of the actual chicken shawarma plate. This picture is the left overs from last night!! Adding a few things from TJs = Shabbat dinner!!! Amazing place. Service is fast and everything is made to order!! So many salads! And the eggplant. Wow!! Delish!!

I don't have anything bad to say about the food. This is more about the location and health standards. This was my first time at this location. I usually visit the one in Encino and I have never had a problem there. Firstly, it seems pretty unorganized and a lot slower than the Encino location. I couldn't figure out when it was my turn to start my order. The reason I will never return to this location was a man who seemed to be the manager. As I was looking around waiting for my turn to start my food, I saw "the manager" putting water bottles in the refrigerator. But before doing so, he started picking his teeth with his fingers. Then would touch the water bottles and examine them. His fingers would go back into his mouth and then he got the food that was stuck in his teeth. He opened the refrigerator and stacked it with water bottles. He would lurk around and stare at people mumbling to himself. Thankfully he just stepped into the kitchen just once to take dirty dishes to the back. What he was doing was absolutely disgusting and he ruined my dinner. This man doesn't belong near food or drinks and I would hope that the owner would reconsider having this man work here any longer. It is important that the people who handle your food and drinks have cleanliness as their first priority.

Great spot for Laffa shawarma, this has to be my favorite within 10 miles of my house. The service is quick and quality. Take your laffa and sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy some sun! If only they were open everyday even Shabbat, somehow I always find myself craving it on Saturdays!

The quality and preparation of food here seems much better than the encino location which is good too. In the Calabasas location everything just seems a bit better.

Amazing Israeli cuisine with big portions! I'm so happy that I discovered this place, as the food is out of this world. Fast food type restaurant, but with quality meat and veggies. I highly recommend the chicken shawamra plate. It comes with your choice of veggies and a side of fries and pita. It will run you around $30 with tax and tip, but well worth it. It can easily feed 2! The service was quick and great. I definitely will be a regular here!

Stopped in for lunch and to catch up with a friend. There are a couple stools inside to eat a quick bite; otherwise, you're grabbing a table outside. You order at the cashier, then wait for the gentleman putting your food together to call your name, then let him know what toppings/sides/etc you want. We hit a mini lunch rush, so we waited a bit, but it was nice that everything was fresh. My friend enjoyed her chicken pita schwarma (I so wish they had lamb schwarma!), and had to take most of it home with her. I tried the merguez pita and found it very good! The fries and eggplant that come with the pita orders are just ok, but I guess they'll help fill you up, if needed. Out of curiosity, I ordered one falafel on the side and it was fresh, moist, and tasty! The biggest issue I have with this place is that it's pretty expensive for a takeaway lunch. My friend's pita was 18.50, mine was 19.00. Soda cans 2.75, bottled water 2.50 (I brought my own). Inflation, kosher food is more expensive, etc.; but it's a pretty pricey lunch at almost $50 for two people without service. But it's good.
