What a gem! Wanted to find a local bookstore on a rainy day and stumbled upon MacGregor's. It's the perfect cozy bookstore with shelves at every turn stocked full of books and random goodies. Expect to take your time exploring as the shelves are organized by subject and there are a lot of books to sort through. Great selection of used books and excellent prices. While you're there be sure to grab a coffee. The menu is extensive and everything sounded delicious. Love that the coffee is organic and the flavor is perfectly balanced. I ordered a little sweet treat for myself and got the brûlée latte. It was expertly made and wasn't cloyingly sweet. Can't wait to come back!

On our way to move my son into his apartment for college, needed a coffee and thought a bookstore/coffee shop sounded unique and fun so we said, "Why not?" Delicious coffee from an unassuming location, plethora of books and art. My son found a watercolor from an estate sale and is thrilled with his first original piece of art. If you want a great cup of coffee and have time for a visit and browse around it's a great place to stop in. Wonderful owners!

This is a fantastic book shop plus more! They carry unique gift ideas, have a smoothie bar, and have an outdoor seating area big enough for a party! Their books are varied and cataloged, so if you want something specific, they can tell you if they have it. Or, if you want to browse, that's great, too. Overall, it's a very friendly and welcoming place to shop in Yreka.

This is such a delightful bookstore. I don’t think I’ve ever come away empty-handed. They have very fair prices and a wonderful variety. (Not to mention mass!) I especially love their classics section. It’s nice and quiet, tucked in the back, and I’ve found everything from Charles Dickens to Harper Lee. The book-workers are polite, conversational, and fun to get to know. If you enjoy a treasure hunt for used books, drop by MacGregor’s. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Great coffee addition to the business. Owner is a 2nd amendment advocate/fanatic who talked us to death about his exploits. No greeting. No welcome neighbor vibes from him. Go for the coffee and the books. Spare yourself of him.Correction: he was not the owner. Nor was he an employee.
