A definite hidden Gem located right on the curve of the road across the street from apple Annie’s next to the oak glen retreat ,Homemade Authentic Mexican food ,cozy inside with a fireplace and outside seating if you want to enjoy the scenery the owner Leo and his wife were friendly and inviting and the food was absolutely amazing! From the birria ramen to the chile verde we even sample their mole and enchiladas,Taquitos and nachos all the food was amazing it’s definitely my go to spot whenever I’m in the area ,I highly recommend you check them out and on Fridays they may fish tacos! I moved to calimesa about 3 1/2 years ago and was struggling to find a place that has real authentic Mexican food. My fiancé and I went up to oak Glen one day and we decided to try this place out. We've always seen it but never gave it a shot because after trying other restaurants around and being let down.. I did not want this to be the same case and end up feeling like a waste of money but, this day decided to give it a shot. Man, when I say that this place has DELICIOUS FOOD... I mean just that! Their BIRRIA TACOS ARE SO GOOD!! Absolutely everything we've tried so far is so tasteful. I even took my family to try it out for the ultimate test (fam is from Mexico, Jalisco). They def loved it as well. Not sure what some of these other reviews were talking about when said def about this spot. Customer service is always on point and the owners work there as well. Great people, great vibes and awesome food! ITS A MUST TRY!!!

We drive up to Oak Glen to get away from the crowded city. It's a beautiful place. This Mexican Restaurant looked great so we thought we would try it. It was very good. The chips and salsa were good. I liked the spices in the salsa. We had a view of mountains on one side and oak trees behind us. We didn't bother with Apple Annie's. Too crowded and noisy. This was very calm and relaxing. We payed the bill and left. They give large portions of food so it was not a rip off. Must say the waitress was also very nice and food was brought quickly. A nice place to eat.

Me and my family have been wanting to try this restaurant for sometime now and finally had the opportunity. The food was very good but they extremely overcharge. It was a family of six total and we split the bill two ways. We were charged 18% gratuity for a large party on both of our checks I brought it to the attention of the man checking me out at the cash register and he told me that is how it is and did not remove it for me. I also noticed that they charged us an 8% sales tax for California when everybody else up there was charging us 7.75%, he did not provide a receipt to me or my father. They nickel and dime for everything such as another bowl of chips charging $1.50 when 99% of Mexican restaurants especially charging the money that this establishment is, give you complimentary chips and salsa throughout your visit. Me and my family will never be attending this restaurant again and I had several other friends and family members that were waiting for my review because they also have visited Oakland many times over the years and have considered this restaurant. So I'm happy to save them the grief and the highway robbery. And a note to the owner. Please do not respond to this message because I don't need your excuses or your lies.

We’ve enjoyed food several times before. Nice outdoor atmosphere and good service. Today, the mole on the red enchiladas tasted sweet not the usual savory. I don’t understand the change. Their savory sauce was perfect! Also, we sat at a table in the front that wobbled and made us feel like we were sliding downwards. Will still go back but sit in the back and not order anything with red sauce.Parking: Limited parking during apple picking season.

this used to be a great place to come years ago but seems things have changed in terms of personal. Very unorganized waited 45 mins for our food to be taken but we asked for our check for the drinks and we left as people that came in before us got their food orders in so they can't keep up.
This was absolute trash. You're better off saving your time and money. Paid a $96 dollar meal, the wife and kid couldn't even swallow down. So we left the plates full and didn't even get boxes it was so disgusting. Flys we're everywhere and the owner was there and should be ashamed of himself calling it a mexican place when it's not. No season, it was bland. It was the most disgusting Mexican food I ever ate. Owner is just money hungry. Gth out of that beautiful town, don't blame your chef, it's you as a person and how YOU run the place. You need to get out of there and stay outta there. Your vibe killed the whole mood by bothering everyone there! They didn't even play Mexican music, it was soft rock. The plates were so hot you can tell they just put in the microwave. You people deserve 1 star. Grow up and learn how to run a successful business

It's Sunday out for the annual trip to Oak Glenn for apples and cider. Just had breakfast and was thirsty so I just sat down and asked for an ice tea. A very friendly young man said coming right up and would i like some chips and salsa. Then a fatherly figure stopped by asked if i needed anything told him im being taken care of. Friendly service for just an ice tea on a hot day. Salsa was good little slow afterburn. Decided to try an appetizer cheese enchilada. Boy am i glad i did This was the cheesiest best cheese enchilada i ever had. The cheese ozzed out and strung out longer than any cheese pizza i ever had. My friends were at the outdoor mart stopped by tried a piece OMG they never saw cheese just pull and stretch like that and taste good. I needed to use the facilities they were in back of the restaurant. OMG what a great beautiful patio outdoor settimg. Next time i will ask to dine in that spot. Private sireen trees for a natural enclosure and shade. I only got a taste of food a taste of service but an eyefull of a peaceful beautiful garden spot. Will definitely hit this place for a full meal in the future. All this for an ice tea.

You got me for a couple extra bucks today and it cost you a customer.$22.95 for a carne asada burrito.$15.90 for a kids burger fries and a lemonade.$3.00 for a handful of chips. Had to ask three times for one extra bowl, not two as charged.$8.00 for a bottle of beer.$7.61 for 5% credit card fee. Who does that!$27.39 large party 18% tip. I always tip well but 18% on these prices….Cost of everything is going up, blah blah blah, I know. I chose to eat here, blah blah blah, not anymore.
