You know when you go into a bar and expect… Just barfood. Well this is not that place! This is the place where you go for comfort food (Meatloaf) for something savory maybe a steak and a wedge salad. They have bar snacks such as spicy fried pickles, mac & cheese bites and traditional nachos and maybe wings. But you get into the pork chops or steak their amazing meatloaf and you can tell that this place is a cut above. And let’s talk about dessert their bread pudding… All I can say is you got to try it! We have tried so many places to go for date night, from Palm Springs to Ontario. This is not a chain restaurant. Every time I go out to a restaurant I am always disappointed because I could’ve made it 100 times better at home. But I keep going out to try to find somewhere to go that’s interesting. When we found this place five years ago we thought it was a fluke. Until we kept going back. This is the place we go every time we go out to dinner. There are so many delicious options on their menu. They really have never disappointed us. This is owner run and operated they have a great staff they know how to pour drink they know how to treat their customers because they live in our community.

Good apple pies from local orchards. We have been going there for over 30 years. Now take our grandkids there. Is so pretty in the Autumn and gets snow in the winter. A nice weekend trip.

This place is simply amazing let me tell you! I MUST have their smoked tuna at least once a week, preferably 2-3x lol and let me tell you about their cheesecake. Well I hate cheesecake, can't stand it, every now and then I can maybe eat a bite or two of Cheesecake factory's godiva or raspberry truffle but I still don't like it. Well i LOVE the cheesecake here. Just plain, nothing on it and I will go to town. The service here is always excellent and the food is amazingly good. Such a little gem and tucked away where you would never know it was there. Thank god I was at my nephew's basketball game several months ago and we went to frugo's next door afterwards or I never would have been tempted by the siren smell of the tuna lol.

This is such a nice place. Close to home. I am sure we will soon be regular. I have had a turkey sandwich and the chicken wrap. My sister had the fish tacos with chipotle sauce I put it on my wrap too. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back again. Quick service too
We LOVE this place! We are pretty much regulars now! :) Yucaipa lacks good places to eat, but since we discovered Islands Cafe, we finally have a place close to home that we enjoy. So much of what they serve is made from scratch... The ahi is amazing and the chipotle sauce is to die for. Some of our other favorites are the hummus w/pita bread and the pita pitza. My husband absolutely loves the pulled pork sandwich! They recently added a burger menu which is also amazing! Try this place out and you won't be disappointed. It's a great family owned and operated establishment, friendly staff and we feel welcome every time! I almost forgot, the blueberry pomegranate tea is great and the homemade cheesecake is delish!!!

Islands is awesome. A vacation to Hawaii on the mainland. The owner was a chef on Kona for a number of years. I had the Aloha Burger with grilled pineapple and toasted coconut. It was the best burger I have had in years! My husband had the ahi burger which was also excellent. The potato salad on the side was homemade and delicious. They do not serve any fried food, so no fries but you don't miss them. Beer and wine is available and the casual atmosphere is very welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Food was GREAT!!! Ahi tuna was delicious with rice and grilled veggies and homemade ice cream to top it off. My husband had pulled pork with potato salad that was awesome and homemade cheesecake! I give 4 stars for deliciousness. Heads up, portion sizes aren't very big but for the price you can't complain. We will definitely return!

This is a new place with an imaginative menu. It features a number of items that are new twists on standards or original items not usually featured in local Yucaipa eateries. I give them a plus on the concept. They are still working out some of the kinks and the service, while courteous and attentive, can sometimes be spotty. The food is good but seems to vary in quality from one visit to the next. Its never bad but isn't consistent. I liked the hummus dip but the flatbread had some kind of a rub sprinkled on it that I didn't care for. The flavor should come from the hummus and not be overpowered by the bread. Its just that kind of thing where they maybe try to do too much with something better left simple. I'd go again. I like the craft beers but getting a little tired of Hangar beer.

This is a great find in a hard to find location. We went based on the reviews on Yelp and we really enjoyed our experience there. Andrew (our waiter) was very helpful and explained and recommended many items on the menu. I had the Seafood Pasta which came with a nice salad and toast. It was very good. The sauce was creamy but not too heavy and rich like you get in some restaurants. It had Mahi Mahi, Shrimp and small scallops in ample portions. It was very good. My wife had the Ahi Tuna Skewer with Jasmine rice and grilled veggies. You get a choice of chipotle or cilantro sauce to dip it in and she had the cilantro. We had a bottle of their house Chardonnay which was nice and very reasonably priced. They also have a large selection of beers and tea. SAVE ROOM FOR THE CHEESECAKE! We don't usually order deserts but we split the homemade cheesecake and it was fantastic! Give this place a try-you will not be disappointed. The owner also came over and visited with us before we left-nice touch.
