Love love the home cooked meals. The St. Johns are doing a fabulous job taking over their mom's footsteps in running the business.

A friend took me there for breakfast today. He's been eating there for nearly 40 years. I had the 4 egg Mexican omelet with homemade salsa and wheat toast. Home fries. I'm so sorry I forgot to photograph the food. It was chilly outside and we devoured the food as soon as it arrived. It was plentiful and well presented. I asked for the potatoes crispy and they were perfect. The Omelet was large and perfectly cooked. The fresh salsa was spicy, with a hint of habanero. It was a perfect breakfast. Highly recommended. 8am-2pm only. Wednesday thru Sunday. It's worth the drive.

Dont go to this place unless you are a local or old white person. People are rude and food is mediocre at best. The only saving grace was their coffee but still absolutely not worth the rudeness.

Meadow Mountain Cafe is an absolute gem of the Rocky Mountains. Tucked away in the quaint town of Allenspark, the café is a perfect spot to stop after your hike in the national park. It's not fast food. It doesn't have a lavish menu. It's simply delicious, home cooked, and relaxing. The service is prompt and attentive. The food takes time, but is made with care. Do yourself a favor and stop by this spot for a terrific meal.

This is a legit tiny mountain cabin. Come for the experience. It may not be the best stop if you are starving and there are no other stops for miles. I got a ham and cheese sandwich and it was tasty. The sandwich bread is homemade. It is tiny, and like sitting in my great grandma's front room while she worked in the kitchen.
I've been coming here since 1996. The best pancakes. The best biscuits and gravy. Hands down.
