My favorite place when i need a reliable yet exciting sandwich with a side of wonderful service and overall vibe. the owners are the loveliest people you’ll meet and whip up a meannnnn sammy. lines out the door at lunchtime (as they should be) but they sure move faster than any sandwich spot i’ve ever been to. I was a homeless travelin hippy deadhead for life ?❤️Anyways i found myself in Aspen, me being a Jerry guy I had to ofcourse order the Garcia. Can’t remember the price or most of the day before I had it for kinda obvious reasons ? ? but for years, heck even to this day I try and replicate the Garcia for me and other travelers and homebums when we get up enough for some good groceries and picnic in the bushes. ? I love the Grateful Deli, and the staff was so chill. I always recommend them to other travelers that mention they are in Aspen or headed that direction. ✌️ ❤️ ? ⚡️ ?

The sandwiches here are huge, fresh and tasty. They are prepared to order and ready fairly quickly. There isn’t any indoor seating but there are a couple tables and two benches outside. Prices are reasonable for potion size and for a tourist town.
Great food and cool atmosphere. A must-see for any Greatful Dead fans.

Went driving to see the fall colors here in Colorado. Arrived in Aspen in late afternoon and was a fish out of water. Looking for something to eat that would not cost the same as a tank of gas for my jeep. Found this 6 it was truly a hole in the wall, but OMG, the sandwich was so good! The options are overwhelming, but they have a few clients' favorites! Highly recommend!!
