Reservations were easy, our table was very nice, service was excellent. Food was decent. I had crab cake entree, and they were quite bland. My husband had the salmon, which was good but nothing extraordinary.

Jimmy’s has always been our favorite restaurant in Aspen. That history made our dinner last night all the more disappointing. The service was good but all other aspects have gone seriously downhill. The menu was not very extensive. The Rocky Mountain trout was not fresh and very fishy. The kale was a heap of unflavored greens similar to eating a paper plate. The wine selection all fell into the same category- extremely expensive. I know the times are tough but this was just sad. No one in our party was happy with their meal.

What an amazing institution. Our meals were so great we ate here twice in one week. The lamb appetizer, chefs cut of the day, ribeye, and surf and turf are the best I've had. The new owners better do this place justice or we'll have words ?

So sad to hear that Jimmy's will be closing soon. Always had an amazing dining experience here. The staff are kind, professional and knowledgeable of the menu. Relaxed environment and a beautiful venue. Love you guys!

Came here the other night. Party of 6.. The 'Famous Crab Cakes' had large lumps of crab, however they were so dry and uninspired. The romanesco sauce couldn't even save them. I had to ask for 3 pieces of lemon just to wash them down. The trout was fishy and luke warm. The flanks steaks were over cooked. The truffle fries were over truffled... Are the chefs smokers and have lost their tastebuds? At least everything wasn't over salted. The Tataki was decent, though dry (dehydrated) as well. The servers were kind. I wouldn't recommend this place considering how uneventful the food was. The kitchen needs a serious overhaul on training and skills, which means probably the manager or owner is too comfortable. Sorry.

Service was great. The atmosphere is really good. The waitstaff were exceptionally nice and did a great job. The food was simple and not worth the price point. Give it a try if you can't eat anywhere else.

The service was good but the food was mediocre at best. My wife described it best, the Applebee's of Aspen. Lobster was dry and over cooked, ordered the surf and turf and the steak was medium well even though I ordered medium rare. Even if the steak was made correctly you could tell it would still be "ok" at best. They were nice enough to comp the steak which I appreciated and the crudo was good.

The meatloaf was really moist and tasty. The crab cake appetizers were really good. Can’t go wrong on the desserts either. We had the hot fudge sundae w brownie bites.

Very good food, a little over priced for the atmosphere . It was similar to a bar like atmosphere but the food costed two people $200 for a full meal. Still would go back just be prepared to spend money.

I ate here on my first night in Aspen with my friends and I loved the cozy atmosphere and comfort food. We ate a lot - had some appetizers and the prime rib dinner, and then had a few of the desserts. I loved the sundae and my friend loved his steak and his volcano dessert. Service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere was steakhouse/ western comfort, and there were tons of options on the menu that I'd love to try on a future visit. I'd recommend this place and would come back for sure.

Do not trust your vacation experience with Jimmy's. The steak I had tonight was unequivocally the worst steak I have ever had. The steak was not prime, was not USDA, and was not 20 oz. It was a complete embarrassment. It should have been thrown out by the cook, then it should have been refused by the server, but somehow it made it to my table. It was 50% FAT and was the lowest quality ribeye I have ever had. The manager did not come to the table and apologize. The server was very good and he had nothing to do with the quality of the food. The chef and the manager should both be fired. Do not serve people expensive food that is not even super market grade. People fly here from everywhere. They book tables all over town. You owe them quality food. Be accountable and responsible. If you can't buy good food, and prepare it correctly, then you should be in another business. Completely ruined our dining experience.
