Do not judge a book by its cover. This is the best Italian I’ve had in my life. The owner and his wife are spectacular hosts. You will never find anything like this place in Colorado. I’ve been living in CO for 11 years, originally from NY. I will never need to go to NY again for spectacular Italian. Clam and shrimp oreganata, penne vodka, eggplant, chicken franchese…off the charts.

The best italian food I have ever had. The service was excellent. It is a small restaurant that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The decor is pleasant. It is very clean. My overall experience was perfect I definitely would not pass this restaurant by if you love Italian food.

A small locally owned restaurant with friendly and attentive staff serving delicious Italian classics and specials. The oysters were a great appetizer and a solid recommendation. The chicken picatta sauce was light when compared to others, bringing a fresh flavor. Remembering Tony Bennett was a special that was phenomenal, bringing together rigatoni, prosciutto in a tomato sauce topped with a ball of burrata cheese. ? ? Dishes came with sides of garlic knots that had fresh minced garlic and pull apart gooeyness. We'll definitely be coming back. Make sure to call ahead and reserve a table.

The food was served hot and fresh! We started with the delicious garlic knots! We had chicken Marsala, fusilli with broccoli and sausage, and ravioli! Every dish was very good! The server, Flor, was kind and friendly! Luis, the owner greeted us at the table and we spoke a bit! He's a nice man and runs this small daily business! I'd go back again just to try different dishes! Give it a try! As an Italian gal I found the food like my own homemade food! Enjoy!

A hidden gem! The food is fantastic and the prices are so reasonable. I love that you get free garlic knots with any pasta order! I’ll definitely be back!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! All the food is incredible and tastes just like my Italian grandmother used to make back home in New Jersey. The chicken parmigiana is the best I’ve had in my almost ten years in Denver. Amazing and friendly service, in true Italian fashion that makes you feel like family.

Amazing food. Nothing is out of their reach. We tried pizza. Crust solid, perfect cheese and sauce disbursement and toppings just the right amount. Sooooo many choices we will have to go back.

Absolutely Delicious! Super fresh food and friendly service. You got a generous amount of food for the price. I’m not big on Italian food but I wanted to try something new today, I’m glad I came in!

Background: New Yorker blood runs in my veins and I am complete snob when it comes to NY-style Italian food. Living in Colorado has been difficult in finding great food places like I could back on the east coast and, frankly, I find it depressing at times. Anyway... While browsing /r/denver on Reddit I saw that *many* people had recommended Pomodoro. I admit I was reluctant to try it, yet another, potentially mediocre Italian place (with Sysco foods premade chicken, etc.) but it had been a while since I was disappointed so I figured, "HEY WHY NOT TODAY!?" The restaurant is the kind of simple, no frills, hole in the wall that I grew up eating at as a kid. So that started to get my hopes up a bit. We ordered mozzarella sticks, garlic knots, caesar salad, fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti, and chicken parmigiana. Overall the food was very good with a few notable exceptions. Our overall opinions and thoughts are: * The mozzarella sticks were not homemade. They were clearly from a food service pack. I got a little worried when they were served but we decided to keep going and see how the rest of dinner went. (I'm glad I did) * The Caesar salad was decent and big enough to feed 4 people. It wasn't the most amazing Caesar I've had but it certainly wasn't the worst either. * The garlic knots actually had flavor, dripping with olive oil with fresh minced garlic all over. Just like Momma Marcella used to make back home! * The alfredo and marinara sauces were good. The former was nice and creamy and the latter wasn't too sweet nor too acidic * The pasta isn't homemade and while that was a little disappointing to me personally, no one else in our party really noticed, and we acknowledge that it's so rare to find fresh pasta in restaurants these days, so we decided it wasn't a deal breaker * The chicken parmigiana servings were big and delicious. The chicken was nice and flat but not so thin that you had to worry about it getting dried out and tough. The breaded coating did a great job sucking up the sauce and the melted cheese plentiful and great * While not food related, I'll mention that the service was VERY fast. It was very refreshing So, in closing, yes, not everything was perfect but it was pretty darn good overall. So much so that we decided before the check even arrived that we'd definitely come back and try it again (and that's saying something). Thank you Pomodoro for giving us some delicious food overall (and hope!)

Delicious Italian food! First time ordering take out, and we are amazed and SO happy. We ordered garlic knots, Greek salad, shrimp Scampi, Alfredo pasta with chicken and a Supreme Calzone... and I do recommend ordering from here.In my opinion, the food was cooked to perfection. The flavor profile was on point ?, it didn't need adding extra salt or extra seasoning, we just loved it!.We will come back to try other menu Items for sure. Please, come and give them a try, you won't regret it, plus the food is so affordable and big portions.Owners are so kind and provide great service. We forgot to take photos because we were very hungry, but even for take out presentation was outstanding.

Wow! Went here tonight for the first time ever after a family recommendation, and we were NOT disappointed. The food was incredible, especially the garlic knots and chicken picatta. The service was exquisite, and the spumoni ice cream for dessert was the best I’ve ever had. The staff was so lovely and welcoming too! That said, it is a small restaurant, so you definitely want to make a reservation for dinner. Definitely will be coming here again!
