I ordered a hamburger and they brought the food to everyone except me and it took a total of 45 minutes to bring me the hamburger and it wasn't good and I asked for the bill and they didn't bring it to me in 30 minutes I had to stop to pay ?

My last experience at a Mexican seafood place in CO was pretty bad, so when my mom suggested we have dinner "at the place next to Vintage Theater" I was not thrilled. I checked out their menu online and saw there were plenty of non-seafood options, however, so I agreed to give Mariscos Uruapan a try. By the way, when I saw "lots of options" on the menu, I mean that there menu is a novel the likes of which I have not seen since Cheesecake Factory. They serve everything here. That can also be a red flag as the chances of things being done well goes down as the menu page count goes up. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. They have ample parking despite being in the heart of downtown Aurora and the restaurant was adorably decorated. I noticed almost all the patrons were speaking Spanish and that every food item that came out was MASSIVE and looked and smelled pretty darn good. My mom is a very light eater so we decided to split something, which ended up being a surf and turf molcajete. It was very good! The whole pinto beans cooked in lard were another highlight, as were the fresh scratch corn tortillas. Despite splitting one entree between two people, we couldnt get through the whole thing. Oh, and the "surf" part of the dish - grilled fish - was the best part. I am now excited to return for more Mexican seafood dishes!

Great Mexican seafood restaurant in the Aurora entertainment district. Reasonable prices and huge portions. Right across the street from Vintage theatre, big parking lot. Pepe took great care of us. We had the chicken posole and shrimp tacos, and took home enough for another full meal the next day.Parking: Brightly lit huge parking lot.
