Classic quieter bar. Upstairs and a little more secluded feeling, but still a regular bar with pool, Foosball, great drinks, and helpful bartenders.

I'm not sure if it was the delicious burger, crispy tots, excellent long Island iced tea, terrific service, free pool or cool atmosphere, but this place deserves more stars.

Unfortunate Experience at The Attic BarRating: ★☆☆☆☆I recently had an incredibly disappointing and upsetting experience at The Attic Bar. Last week, I witnessed Alex, one of the bartenders, and another bartender being extremely disrespectful to a visibly intoxicated customer. Concerned about the situation, I approached them to inquire and offered to help remove the customer from the bar without any issues. However, my goodwill seemed to have had a negative impact on my subsequent visits. On my return the following week, I encountered hostility from the bartender, and things took a turn for the worse when a worker (skinny guy with the beard) physically confronted me, causing visible scratches on my arm. This unwarranted confrontation was followed by a shocking expulsion from the bar, with the bartender accusing me of being involved in an incident from the previous week that I had no part in. They alleged that the guy I was with had been throwing beer bottles, which is not only unfair since I didn't even know this individual, but also highly questionable as the bar doesn't even sell beer bottles. What's even more concerning is that they waited until I had spent $30 on drinks and tipped $5 before taking action, which raises suspicions about their motives.I can't help but feel that I was racially profiled during this ordeal, as the treatment I received was disproportionate and unjustified. It is deeply troubling that such behavior can occur in a place of business. I would strongly advise against visiting The Attic Bar until they address and rectify these issues, as they have lost a loyal customer in me. Discrimination, unfounded accusations, and questionable timing should never be tolerated, and I hope this review serves as a warning to others who may consider patronizing this establishment.

We were here two weeks ago with some friends. A customer was causing a scene when we realized the "customer" was someone we had met a few days earlier. One of our friends went over to help remove the customer causing a scene and took him out of the bar. We returned to the bar a few days later when our friend (the one who removed the customer causing a scene) called us from outside the bar and told us security grabbed him by his arm and removed him from the bar after paying for his drink and tipping the server and not allowed to drink his drink. He told us security told him he was the one causing a scene a few days earlier. The friend who was removed is Black/Hispanic and the customer who caused the scene is white. Our Black/Hispanic friend was the only person of color in the entire bar and we found it interesting that he was the only person removed, but not the customer who caused the scene a few days earlier who happened to be in the bar the night our friend was removed. We felt bad for our friend who was removed so we all left. A few of us returned a couple days later to speak with ownership about the incident, but the owner was not there. We ended up speaking with the bartender who told our Black/Hispanic friend that he was "probably thrown out because he was being an asshole" and told us "to get the fuck out". He was serving some food and we tried getting out of his way, but ended up getting accidently in his way and he shoved us. We called the police as it began getting a bit heated when some drunk white customers saw what happened and tried to fight us. One of the police officers who was black told us, "Hey, there are some places I don't go because I'm not welcome there." We got the message and thanked the officers for their time. We left with the impression that The Attic Bar is not a place where people of color or gays are welcome. If you are a person of color or from a marginalized group, I hope this review assists you in making your decision on choosing a bar in Boulder

We stumbled on the Attic Bar & Bistro because we parked on the outskirts of town and saw it while we were walking into town. It was a Sunday night, and we were looking for somewhere to celebrate my 60th birthday with some burgers and a couple drinks. It does not look like much from outside, but we were pleasantly surprised once we started climbing the stairs. Cool artwork on the walls, laid back atmosphere, old-time rock n roll from my era playing, pool tables, and the bartender and waiter were great. We had some burgers that were good and drinks at a table overlooking the street. Cool place to chill and catch dinner. We enjoyed ourselves.

While getting happy hour drinks with a colleague a few weeks ago I found a sliver of glass in my Fat Albert. I informed the bartender, who replaced my drink and informed me that that the two drinks we had ordered would be on the house. A few hours later I noticed that that the bar had charged me for the drinks regardless.

The only bar I've ever been in that manages to be a "college bar" while still having great food, great drinks, and quick, friendly service. The atmosphere changes depending on time of day, what sports games are happening, and who's in town, so it's always worth checking out! (Seriously, their grilled cheese sandwiches are to die for, as well as most of their fried foods.)

Local dive type bar with sports on the tvs and reasonable drink prices. Come here almost every time we are in Boulder. Have not had the food.
