Walked into this place on a Thursday night for the second time ever, and was blown away by the complete transformation of feeling like I was in Ireland in a pub. The people were so friendly, our drinks were delicious and the food was spectacular! This is our new weekly favorite place!

I enjoy being able to get a variety of British beers. It has the look and feel of many British pubs, especially the bar. I love a cask conditioned ale pulled pint.

First time there and most likely the last. $10.50 for a Guinness in a plastic cup!? Seriously? Also, the corned beef sandwich special was a bit light on filling compared to bread.

The pub atmosphere is unmatched and they have multiple vegan options that are delicious!Vegetarian options: Vegan: Tikka Masala, veggie burger with gluten-free bun, St.David's bowl, rainbow carrots, avocado toast (brunch), tofu scramble (brunch).Dietary restrictions: They have multiple vegan and gluten-free options.

I picked up the pictured $10 french onion soup. The container was half full and it was cold. The staff were extremely rude.

Been to The Toad many times over many years. I'm somewhat surprised at the negative reviews. I have found the service and food to be outstanding from when Terry owned it until now. My wife and I came for lunch after an appointment nearby. I had a black and tan which was perfectly done. She had a champagne cocktail which she said was very good. We split the Reuben which was very good. Corned beef was excellent. Yes by the end the toast was a little soggy but the flavor and ratio of all the ingredients was spot on and the cheese was perfectly melted. Fries were hot crisp and well done. We will continue to come back. Yes there are a few items that are missed especially The Green Goblin burger but that certainly would not keep me away!

I had great food and bad service tonight. It was a one time thing. No specifics, but if it happens again...

Atmosphere, decor and service were all great. Interior has a really nice feel. My beer (Guinness) was above average, they know what they are doing there.Fish and chips though were a bit of a let down, especially for $23. Small portion of fish, definitely fried too long — batter was dark verging on burnt with the taste that comes along with that. Shame, because the fish inside the batter was actually very nice. Whoever was frying that day was at least consistent as I saw multiple orders come out that way. The "chips" were a bit of a disappointment too — definitely fries, not proper chips, and not very good ones at that. Very cardboard-y. Ketchup was some never-heard-of-them-brand with HFCS which seems weird in Boulder and at this price point. I'd try other food there but wouldn't bother with the fish and chips again.

Was here a couple weeks ago with my youngest daughter. The Hungry Toad went through a major remodel over the past couple years, but what changed in the dining room is difficult for me to say. I hadn't eaten here for some years, so can't recall the previous decor. It still looks like an English pub to me. The layout doesn't seem to have changed. I think it's just been updated, and maybe a new kitchen design with new appliances? Idk. We waited maybe 2-3 minutes at most for the hostess. She sat us in a booth that was very comfortable. The table was not too high for us shorter people (I'm 5' 1.5", my daughter is 5' 3" - I think), which is an issue at some places. The noise level was not too loud, considering the music playing (can't recall what it was now) and the other customers talking. We were able to hear each other talking with no problem. Service was faster than expected for that time of day, and our server was attentive to all her tables equally. We ordered one Fish and Chips plate - which came with only ONE piece of fish, a house salad, a cola for me, and my daughter had a non-alcoholic lemonade. When the bill came, I was like, HOLY COW! The bill was $48, before tip! That "Specialty" non-alcoholic lemonade was $9.00! This is why I have mostly stopped eating out, and why I NEVER order drinks out anymore, especially none of the "Special" ones. Even my soda was $4 and no free refills either (not that I wanted one). So, even though the food was good, and our service was very good, I can't recommend The Toad for a low cost, good meal. Eating out at my fav places is just beyond my budget and only getting worse.

Our internet went out right before the Manchester United game, so we did a quick search and drove straight here for brunch and viewing the game! We were shocked we hadn’t come sooner. Great bangers and Yorkshire pudding. The hash browns were great! And best latte I’ve had in awhile, no frills.

Was driving through Boulder and spotted this place I somehow never noticed before. It was a very cold night and this place looked cozy. Street parking is very limited but look across the intersection for the shopping center lot. Staff was very friendly and the food was good. Look forward to next time.Parking: Shopping center parking lot across the street
