Pastries were unreal. We tried basically all of them and nothing disappointed.

This was hands down the best sourdough and pastry that I have everrrr had in my life. The loafs are beautiful you almost don’t want to cut into them. The crust is so perfectly crunchy and the inside is absolutely divine, I almost cried. So fluffy, absolute perfect texture. 10/10 spongeness. Same with the pastry. I never want to eat any other bread other than this now and my friend that doesn’t even eat bread was almost in tears as well. To top it off- my stomach didn’t feel bad after eating multiple pieces, really good quality. So stoked about finally going into this spot. Can’t say enough good things.

Food and coffee are great. The prices are a little high for me but they are worth it. I hope Moxie stays. They are great for our community.

Incredibly delicious pastry treats, plus well curated mercantile and gifts. A neighborhood gem

This little gem of a bake shop and mercantile is perfect for a quick snack stop or even better for bringing friends and family to browse their selection of curated goods. They carry a wide variety of artisanal sourdough breads that are phenomenal to take home and they also grill up breakfast paninis and have a lovely selection of pastries to eat right away.Their fridge is stocked with salads, sandwiches, cheese, produce and a whole lot of thoughtfully sourced goods to load up on. They even have lasagnas, mac and cheese and other seasonal offerings that can serve perfectly as a dinner option too. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always a pleasure to interact with.

Bread and baked items are TOP notch. Croissants? Can't eat them anywhere else. Bread, consistent quality. The lower rating though is because without fail the customer service in N. Boulder falls short. I've shopped here regularly (monthly or more) for years. Rick IS an amazing soul and I wish he were up here still, but we more often than not feel as if we're intruding or putting them out when we shop here. The inception of this business is absolutely SPARKLY and I wholeheartedly love supporting them. Just wish the folks behind the counter were half as consistent as the baked goods.

I spontaneously walked into Moxie for the first time this morning and picked up a loaf of their Frøbrød. I am from the Northeast, where hearty and flavorful sourdoughs abound, and this was hands down the best loaf of bread I have found since moving out to Colorado 2 years ago. I can't believe I haven't checked out Moxie before this. The Frøbrød was perfectly light and soft on the inside, with a nice hard crust, and no shortage of seeds throughout. It had the perfect amount of sour note, and the pleasant whole grain flavors come through nicely. Buying bread from Moxie will undoubtedly become part of my regular routine from now on...

I have been on a mission to find the best croissant in the Front Range. I narrowed it down to Moxie's and Babettes (Longmont), but Moxie wins. Moxie's croissants (and all of their products) are just exceptional and they use heritage wheat so it's easy on people that have a hard time with gluten. The ends are soft, yet crispy and the flavor is not as sour as other places.Like any great croissant place, don't try to eat it in your car or you will have flakes everywhere!I wish they had better coffee. If they made pour-overs (or even drip) with Verb or Sweet Bloom grade coffee it would be game over. Right now I have to decide when I go out in the morning if I want good coffee or good pastries.

I have been to Moxie in Louisville a few times, but it is quite a ride from the west side of Boulder. I finally got a chance to go out to the smaller, newer location in North Boulder. Not nearly as close as I would like but definitely easier than Louisville. The tradeoff is that it is a MUCH smaller location so be prepared. If you are, you certainly can find many tasty treats, just a smaller selection and fewer in the case. But they are still wonderful. We went this morning and we each found a perfect choice. I got a kouign amman with lemon curd and my husband got danish with raspberry and lemon and maybe (?) some nuts. It was his, not mine but I got a crumb of taste. In addition to the pastry line, there is a refrigerator case with sandwiches in wait, one that seemed perfect to me at a later date. On another shelf were some salads, again, at least one to be sampled another time. They also have a lot of breads. Since this location is near their grain mill, bags of flour of several different grains are available if you bake your own. There are tools and bowls for making your own and many things that can be gift items for bakers. There is even a small selection of jewelry and fabric items too.No doubt at all, we will be back here again. I will still choose Louisville if I need a bigger volume or selection but for just us, on an ordinary day, this would be my choice. And know, this is one case where the nearby parking is better in Boulder than it is in Louisville!

Happiness and pure delight! Each bite of pastry is perfection. The orange cardamom cruffin has it all—sweet, crunch and buttery flaky goodness. Prepare to be blown away by the cookies—especially the chocolate chunk. The shop here is so cute and hippy—love it!

I love this place! The breads are delicious! And they carry so many different products. I also love the za'atar pita chips as well as the flourless brownies (that are to die for!). If you absolutely need something, it's always best to call ahead and have them hold it for you.

This was my first time checking out Moxie. I was really excited to try the cinnamon rolls because they had great reviews and the girl working really sold me on them so I got one for my partner and one for me. Disappointed when I got home as I found they were both burnt almost all the way through. You can see in the pictures they’re basically black but just covered with icing. I think this must’ve just been a bad day but if the item is over baked to this extent it shouldn’t be sold.Giving a 4 star review because I got a couple of other things which were good and the girls working and helping me were really nice. The ham & cheese croissant was really great, they say it’s a bit smoky and I don’t typically like smoky flavored things but it wasn’t too strong so I thought it was great. Also tried the butter toffee cookie (a flavor I wouldn’t normally be drawn to but they recommended it and it was great), and the ginger molasses. I wish they were a bit chewier, but flavor was still good. Ginger molasses was a very strong ginger molasses so if you’re not a fan of strong ginger, I wouldn’t recommend.I’d go back to try other things. Im just so disappointed in the cinnamon roll and that they would sell me TWO even when they were burnt to a crisp. They were $5 each so that’s $10 down the drain.

I typically do not leave reviews but felt like I needed to provide feedback. I went to the store today and got European dark rye bread. It appeared pretty hard to the touch, they told me that it was supposed to be like that. I asked if they could slice it for me and they refused, stating that it goes against their philosophy. After I got home, I tried cutting a slice and almost broke my knife, that's how hard that bread was. The bread crust looked burned to me and I don't know how they can expect anyone to chew it and not break their teeth. I've tried different types of bread before, including the ones that looked similar to this one and let me tell you that the bread never should look and feel like a brick. I feel it's a big liability to sell bread like that. If someone cuts their finger while trying to slice the bread or breaks their tooth.
