Everytime i order a cake from Safeway it's never what I order. This last cake I purchased was really small and I ordered a 1/4 sheet. This cake was barely enough for 8 people and I had a party of 25. Also I didn't get any strawberry filling, at all. They have issues with cake portions, for my son's graduation, the cake was tiny, nothing what I had in mind. They also don't call, if they need to make changes. The only thing I do give them is the cake it's self was good in flavor. I will not be ordering cake from this or any other Safeway ever.

UPDATE: Cream filled donuts are back and blueberry quantity has increased immensely. 5/5 stars - as in, meets expectations. It's still a grocery store bakery. But great improvements. Toot-sweet!Original review: Haven't had cream filled donuts in a long time and my blueberry muffin only had 1 blueberry. I want the shear quantity of blueberries to compromise the structural integrity of the muffin.

ON more than one occasion, the checkout people at this store are not friendly, and especially to non-white folks. I noticed a discrepancy in one of the items that I was buying, but the cashier said just pay for it and go to customer service. What??? Don't they know that the first rule of sales is that the customer is always right!!!

Great cakes and pies. The cheese cakes are to die for.

My wife and I went to Safeway this morning and as soon as we walked in we saw one man wearing a mask on his chin and another with no mask. The one without a mask was handling and sniffing melons, cucumbers and what seemed like as much fruit and vegetables as he could before returning them to the display areas. We were so disgusted we returned our cart to its station and left.

I haven't taken the time in the past to post a review for the mature staff member at the 28th and Iris location who assists those in self-service check out (she is 50+, wear's glasses and has elastic support for one of her hands and forearms). She has provided consistent quality service at Safeway of a number of years. During this time, when so many of us can be pre-occupied and rather stressed (me this evening!), having a recognized 'essential worker' that steadfastly maintains this professional decorum is significant.

Customer service is horrible. The women (manager) who helped me, had a bad attitude, never said hi or was friendly, she threw the receipt at me, and didn't even tell me the total for my purchase. Every time I go in she has the same attitude and is never friendly. Maybe it's time to change jobs if she hates it so much!

I made a visit to the 28th and iris safeway for supplies today, what an amazing place! Everyone was super friendly and the energy was great. Plus the whole place is so clean! Thanks for being there during these tough times!!

Their online ordering and delivery service has been down for days - just when the people need them the most, they fail. Cant even schedule a pick-up. So disappointing.

The customer service at the self checkout was horrible. The man was clearly having a bad day and decided to take out his anger on me (the customer). After the check out system failed to process one of my items (as always) I got the *employee needed* sign. He came over in a huff and threw my already bagged reusable bag (with two milks and some chips in it) and threw it into the corner, which resulted with the milks crushing my chips. He told me to "get out of the way" and nudged me to the side. He then took my next bag of chips, swiped the price, and threw them at the bagging area. I finished bagging my things and checked out. I walked past the man and told him politely that he needed to learn better customer service. He proceeded to tell ask me "well, did you want my help or not!?" I'm not happy with the way her treated me, talked to me, and threw the items that I had just bought.

I am a student in Boulder and I live down the street from safeway making the location very helpful. When I go in there is always a female cashier who has a bad attitude. I have never had any serious problems with her until today. I had a coupon on my phone for free large white eggs. I have used the coupons before and I checked it in my cart so it could be used. When it did not show up on her side I showed her my phone to prove I had the coupon. She then began accusing me of trying to get free things and scamming the store. This went on for a while and I asked how I can make sure that my coupons can be used as I was NOT trying to scam the store. She raised her voice at me and continued to accuse me of trying to unfairly get free things. I told her to just charge me because there was a line behind me and I didn't want to hold up other customers. She continued raising her voice and accusing me. At this point I was completely embarrassed. I have worked as a cashier at a grocery store and I understand if coupons don't work she could have just said it wasn't working. I was on the verge of tears and will be making their manager aware of this.
