I'm not one to usually leave reviews, but my experience at this restaurant left me with a bad taste in my mouth; and it wasn't the food. I saw a review on here saying how someone was "scammed" when they placed a takeout order and a 20% auto gratuity was added without any kind of warning. Unfortunately, this was the same for me. There was no sign stating this policy and the person at the bar taking our order (who was very nice) made no mention of it before giving us our bill. And hey, sure, maybe we should have looked a little closer at the charges but a charge like that is not something I am looking for when placing an order to go. The food was good, nothing special, and the overall ambiance in the restaurant was nice. But if I am ever back in town, this is the last place that I would go. The blatant disregard for transparency is unacceptable and I will actively dissuade people from giving this restaurant their business.

Incredible place! Food is amazing especially the Asada tacos and the burrito. The Mamma Rita is also yummy. So good that we ended up going twice while in town for vacation. Highly recommended!

This place was amazing. There isn't a lot of good Mexican in Breck but this place is phenomenal. It's off the main strip so you get to get away from the crowds of tourists and just enjoy good food. The service was very nice and we were constantly well attended. Not sure our server always knew what we were saying but they got everything right so who cares. It's a pretty small restaurant with a couple TVs so there is always some sound in the background. Awesome food and strong margaritas if you're into that.

Got scammed by the restaurant and wanted to post this review so others would know. We walked in as a party of 4 to order take-out, thinking we'd check out the smoke shop next door while we waited. We ordered at the counter, got a bill with just the total (this comes up again later), was told it'd be 15 minutes so we left. I left a small tip even though we were just grabbing the food to go.When we pick-up the food after the wait, my buddy comments that the $125 bill was much higher than expected. We ask for the bill to check and again we just get a bill with the printed total. We ask for an itemized bill specifically and then see what they were up to.We got charged a 20% "party of 6" automatic gratuity. Huh?? We asked for some extra sauce and were charged $2 each for those despite no mention of a price anywhere on the menu. Later we saw the online menu listing sauce for $1.We would've been fine with paying an automatic 20% if it had been mentioned literally anywhere. Seemed like a policy applied ad-hoc to take money from us.Left a bad taste in our mouths, and I don't just mean the food...Chicken taco was not good, burritos were alright, queso dip tasted like it had been made with Kraft singles cheese, and fish taco was solid.

I'm about as angry as I've ever been at a dining establishment. We (party of 3) arrived at 7:00, waited for a table, ordered and paid for 2 cocktails from the bar while we waited. Taken to a table, sat, gave our order by 7:30 or so. All perfectly normal for a busy restaurant. 8:00 pm, nothing has arrived--not the nachos as an appetizer nor the 2 entrees. Wait staff starts cleaning restaurant, putting chairs on tables, etc. A waitress passing by us stopped when we jokingly asked, Is the kitchen still open?? She answers No. This is now no longer a joke! We get the usual litany of excuses for poor service: understaffed. Our original server comes over, apologizes, says he'll bring the nachos. We still think we're getting our entrees. We were offered a drink on the house. Nice, but we need FOOD, not alcohol. He brings the nachos a few minutes later, tells us this is on the house. Oh great--bad Yelp review averted. Sh*t happens, and we're aware of that. We eat the nachos--STILL thinking our entrees are being prepared. Female wait staff asks if we're ready for the check?!? What check? Male staff told us it was comped! He comes over, explains that the kitchen ordering system ran out of paper so our order was never actually placed. Unbelievable. There are no entrees coming. We push away from the table in absolute disgust, STILL starving!!!! This restaurant has no sense of communication between the wait staff or the kitchen. We are locals who have had a presence in Breckenridge since the cabin was finished in 1975, and it's the first time we've tried this place. We're very sorry it was such a bad experience because it's so close to our cabin. Too bad we'll never know what the food tastes like. Do yourself a favor and do not patronize this restaurant. It's a disaster from several angles.

Loved the food and SAUCES! We went early (5 pm) so no wait. By 6 pm, a line. Great menu!

Food is amazing, service is quick and friendly. The house margaritas are wonderful (they have multi flavors). We tried the DAB and few different tacos. Everything was wonderful and I'd definitely recommend this spot if your in Breckenridge!

Went to dinner. This place is good for drinks and has ok menu. The taste of the food is not good. The enchiladas we ordered were the size of burrito and very salty. They replaced the enchiladas for the burger. But the burger is also not good. The staff is friendly and immediately replaced the food. Customer service is good

Walking in from the street, we saw no Hispanic customers or staff. Granted this is Breckenridge, Colorado, but that's not usually a good sign for a Mexican restaurant. We were seated quickly, and got our menus. I asked how spicy the sauce was on the Mole Enchiladas, and the waiter offered to bring a sample. We also ordered a basket of chips and salsa, and my wife ordered a margarita. The margarita was good, the chips and salsa were good so we ate up the chips, and we ordered another basket of them. That basket and the mole sauce sample came. The mole tasted like it had sat out awhile, slightly off like something in it had spoiled. (I've had mole at Salt Lake City's Red Iguana and elsewhere, so I know what it should taste like.) When the waiter returned to take our order, I got enchiladas with carnitas and all the sauces and cheese on the side instead. My wife ordered a shrimp burrito. The food arrived in timely fashion. My wife pulled a shrimp out of her burrito, and it was too salty to eat. (She had me try it, and I agreed.) The pico de gallo for my enchilada was too spicy to eat, the queso was too salty to eat, and the Tomatillo sauce was also too spicy to eat.It was fortunate I asked for all the enchilada sauces and cheese on the side, so the enchiladas were edible. I gave one of them to my wife so she had something she could eat. My enchiladas were supposed to come with beans, but none had arrived. I began eating the second basket of chips, which unlike the plain ones in the first basket were seasoned. I tasted distinct garlic on them, which seemed odd. I've never had chips seasoned with garlic in any Mexican or New Mexican restaurant we've eaten at, and we live in Albuquerque. (I spent the evening burping up garlic as a result.)When the waiter came back to check on us, we told him about the food and asked to see the floor manager. I also asked for my refried beans. When they arrived, they were more like refried soup, and again, too salty and spicy. The floor manager offered to remove the burrito from the bill and bring us something else. We weren't inclined to to try anything else after our experience. We weren't after a free meal, and told him so, but he still offered to take all the food off the bill. He also said the soupy beans were the restaurant's style, and that no one else had ever complained about the food. My wife is a corporate chef and food product developer, so she has an informed opinion.Maybe Yo Mama's style is super spicy and salty, but it wasn't for us. The floor manager did what he could to make us satisfied, and we respect that. But we won't be returning to Yo Mama's.

GREAT Mexican food. Their tacos, nachos, burritos and margaritas are all fantastic! Their chips have a light seasoning on them and their salsa has almost a fire roasted taste to it. I got their grilled shrimp tacos (warning these had some kick to it). Th e best was the nachos, their pork is so tender and full of flavor. This is the spot to hit when you're in Breck!!

Yo Momma's, upon first impression looks like a dive, but the food is anything but! Flavorful, creative Mexican food, HUGE portions (the waitress warned us, but we didn't listen) and fun, laid back staff. The shrimp ceviche appetizer was top notch (I need that concoction next time in a taco) their tortilla chips are well seasoned and delicious, (took some to go) pibil tacos were flavorful, refried beans were delicious, and prices were affordable for Breckenridge. Would definitely eat here again!

I can’t wait to come back and have their relleno yet for now we enjoyed their nachos and salsa. All were very good (we had the house, spicy jalapeño and spicy rojo).

Billing FRAUD!! Charged my credit card fraudulently - for a tip, although cash tip was left on table. DISHONEST STAFF & ESTABLISHMENT - and reported to my credit card company! young male server had the nerve to commit a crime using my credit card - added $8 to the bill (presumably as a tip), noticed when reviewing monthly bill against receipts. DISPUTING w/ CC company - and reporting as fraud!! Cash tip left on table - and server added $8 more via my CC. AVOID this rip-off place!!

Best Mexican food in Summit County. The Carne Asada Tocos are the best I have eaten. The chips and salsa is made in house and are excellent. Tried the lamb tocos today and they were very good. Very busy place in summer but our visit in September was less crowded. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

I came here just after the dispensary next door. I walked in and saw the bartender for seating as instructed by a sign. She kind of looked at me confused. She asked I pick any table, so I did. The waiter then looked at me with a confused look as well. At this point, I'm assuming I look like a tourist since I was dressed differently. Either way, I felt odd. I ordered the ceviche since it's a favorite of mine. I hate to say this, but this was the worst ceviche I have ever had. The "sauce" it had cured in was nothing less than Italian dressing. It was absolutely gross. Ceviche is a simple dish. Fresh fish, lots of lime and salt. The end. Some onions etc of course and maybe some spice for some heat, but that's it. No "sauce" needed. I do not recommend this dish. Next time I'll stick to the other Mexican dishes that looked amazing on others' tables.
