TERRIBLE experience. Husband and I drove from the airport area ( Reunion) to come here. We ordered a large spaghetti and meatball. The waiter brought us out a small order of spaghetti. We pointed out the mistake, and he proceeded to bring out a single serving of Spaghetti next (to add to the small) we knew immediately that the portion was way smaller than the Large. He told me he could bring out a large bowl, and I could pour them both in the large bowl if that would make us feel better. UMMM NOOOO Wow, how rude. We have been coming to Bucca since when thru had their downtown location. We walked away, starving and treated poorly.

Some of the best Italian food I’ve eaten in the Denver metro. Just know that when they say “A small feeds 3” they mean it.

When we walked in and got seated.. There is a smell it's like an old grease smell. Followed by an old musty smell. There is not one inch of wall that is not covered. I can understand wanting to have something different than other restaurants. It's got buckets of different from the table with the popes head coming up in the middle of the table. To the poster in the bathroom that says how to trap your man. But the food was not the star of the show. We gave the waitress our order and they would not lets us choose from the lunch menu despite it being lunch time at 1130am. 35 dollars average for a family style meatballs and pasta. So from the time I ordered meatballs and sauce it was maybe 20 minutes max. Everything tasted like frozen then microwave. The only good thing was the bread. I have never seen such a glob of Italian mess as one big bowl to much sauce and runny water at the bottom. But I have to tell you the worst was the smell and the pictures all thousands of them all faces staring at you. It was very uncomfortable. I have been to resturants that were tourist trap resturants that are gimmicky most are fun and different maybe not the best food. But Buca was not fun it was a smelly dirty uncomfortable situation. I felt a little trapped by prices way to much.. way over priced. It was gross.. one plus side I passed by the kitchen and it was sparkling clean... while I'm not concerned about food poison.. it's also is very telling that everything is frozen and microwaved. If I could have given it less stars I would have.. don't do it ..

Seated promptly. Waiter was personable and energetic. Spaghetti with meat sauce was--I'm serious, now, and I've eaten a lot of spaghetti in my time--the best spaghetti dish I have ever eaten. I'm not enough of a gourmet to specify _why_, but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the seasoning. My partner had the stuffed shells, of which I sampled one, and found it very tasty as well, and a good choice if one is tired of spaghetti. The only thing is their bizarre business model, in which a small portion serves three. Now, after I realized that, the sticker shock from a small order of spaghetti costing $35 was relieved; and I was quite content to take 2/3 of my meal home for future consumption. Their model is apparently based on a pass-around-and-share approach, which is fine, but unless you like taking-home-for-later it's not a good approach for one, two, or even three in a party.
Got a reservation for a table inside the kitchen. The wait staff was friendly and the food was great, very filling! Would recommend for a large family dinner.

Took my daughter here for her birthday. And although I was devastated that she did not want to indulge with her mother in that massively huge chocolate confection they bring you in an oversized dessert glass, the dinner was delicious! Family style was a bit much for two people, but the flavor, the taste, the smells were divine. Bruschetta and Manicotti were our food of choice and it didn't disappoint. The wall hangings and decorations made for great conversation while we waited. My only complaint would be the service - we waited a long time for refills, the check, etc., however I believe this was due to staffing issues. We will return, this time with friends and family to help us eat it all!

If I could give this place a below zero score for service, I would. My husband had a reservation on Valentine's Day for us, and even though we arrived earlier, the place was packed with people who were waiting for over an hour to be seated. It looks like two of the servers called in sick, but still, the place was overbooked. We waited for over an hour and had to leave to get food to go somewhere else where we also had a terrible experience with the food. This was a horrible experience for a lot of people who were in line. They ruined the date night for a lot of people because it was very late to get reservations somewhere else. We'll never come back to this place.
