This has been my husband and my favorite place for a few years. We wanted Italian food one busy evening and had the option to make a reservation (that sold us). We love all the expertly crafted dishes and fresh pasta. We make this our special occasion place to visit because we moved outside of city limits and it is a trek for us to make it there. My husband proposed to me at the original location and we have been coming back for birthdays and special occasions since.

Decided to give this place another chance before I wrote a review and I’m glad I did. Their weekend brunch is really good, those sweet cream pancakes are made perfect. The first go around the vibes were off and it seemed like the restaurant was working through some staffing and morale issues however by this second go around that seems significantly improved. I’d recommend their weekend brunch.

I regret to say that my recent experience at this place has been disappointing. When it first opened, it was exciting and enjoyable, and we often brought friends and family here. However, over the past year, the quality has declined significantly. Tonight's experience was particularly discouraging and has made me hesitant to return. Despite being promptly seated and greeted, the service was slow. We order an appetizer when we were given water and It took 15 minutes for just for the table bread to arrive with no appetizer. We waited an additional 15 minuets for our appetizer , and even after indicating we were ready to order by setting menu in pile at end of table, she dropped off appetizer and disappeared. Another customer who arrived a decent amount of time after us was served much quicker. When our appetizer finally arrived, and the quality of the food was subpar. My chicken parmigiana lacked flavor, the roasted veggies were cold and overly salty, though the pasta and marinara were decent. Despite our previous affinity for this location, I'm not sure if we'll give it another chance.

At first glance, this place looks nice. It's clean and thoughtfully designed. However, the service and food quality have gone downhill. We arrived at 4:40 and were seated promptly for 2. Only one other table of 2 was in the restaurant. Our server gave us our menus before chatting with the other table for a handful of minutes, and then disappeared itno the back. About 15 minutes after being seated, she took our order for garlic bread (which would take another 15 minutes to receive). A man entered the reservation and received his food long before us. We didn't get a chance to order our food until almost 5:20, which came out hot but swimming in oil. We didn't bother finishing our disappointing carbonara or a flavorless (but pleasantly crisp) chicken parmigiana. Will not be returning to this location, but maybe the original Scalzotto's maintains their service. Two stars for the marina, which is still incredible.

I’ve been coming here for years; by far the best Italian food in Denver. But, they’ve recently made a major change to the presentation of their dishes and they’ve increased their homemade pasta options immensely. It’s beautiful!!I can’t speak higher of this place…top-notch food with the friendliest service. Every time I leave, I can’t wait to come back.Ashlee is our favorite waitress. She is ALWAYS so happy and friendly. She’s never in a hurry, she offers the best advice and recommendations…she’s a giant part of this restaurant’s success - they’re very lucky to have her on their team.See you soon!

We made a reservation and told them it was my grand daughter's birthday. They told me they would make it special. When we arrived, things went well, we ordered appetizers, they came, we ate them, but the server never took our food order. So we waited. We were finally able to order food and we waited, and waited and waited some more. There were tables all around us that came in after us and they got there food and were finished by the time we got our food. I didn't time it, but it was a very long wait. Two out of the five people enjoyed their dishes. Needless to say, they didn't even acknowledge the birthday and we will never be back. Not sure where all the rave reviews come from. Must be family.

Mistakenly put this on Westminster location, but went to Broomfield location tonight. Ashley was amazing! So helpful and her customer service was above and beyond. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend the Italian sausage (they even made it with spicy marinara upon request). Highly recommend- good food, service, and ambience.

We had reservations and a seat tucked away from the front door as requested. There was a very large party that was super loud so for the first half hour of our visit the noise level was crazy. The service was really good - server attentive and fun. We started off with the Arancini and Fritto Misto both were pretty good. My husband and I had chicken, each prepared in a different way. Sauces were great but the chicken was tough and overall the meals were not served very hot. Veggies - meh. The desserts however were very yummy. Panna cotta with a strawberry sauce and walnuts was delicious, as were the profiteroles. My husband and I are avoiding carbs at the moment so we're thinking that Scalzotto's homemade pasta is probably very special. Next time will try that. Overall we had a great evening!

Scalzotto's has great, traditional Italian food, with a few surprises! Their pasta is made in-house and is delicious, just the right texture and taste. Their Italian sausage is some of the best I've ever had. The servings are way too large! We split the Caesar salad five ways and still had some left. It was wonderful, perfect dressing, perfect amount of parmesan, just too much food. Nice family ambience. Service is very friendly if a tad slow.

I’ve been here twice and both times the service was terrible. People are nice, but the kitchen is always behind and it took over 1hr to get food after it was ordered both times. The food and service at Olive Garden is sadly better than this, and way cheaper.
