As mid as it gets. Cafeteria food would be a fair equivalent. This is what I would imagine white people from Minnesota think Tex-Mex food should taste like. I swear, the red sauce is ketchup-based. Weirdly thick and sweet. An unfortunate addition to the cultural food desert that is briargate. This place makes Hacienda seem like a Michelin-starred restaurant, and Hacienda is already pretty mid. I would imagine people who enjoy this restaurant like processed and microwaved food, because that’s exactly what Chuy’s tastes like.

A real adventure. Coming from years of living in Houston, Tx and San Diego, Ca, it was far from any Mexican food I'd ever had. The chips were the highlight, warm and thin. What was called salsa was actually pica de Gallo served along side a small cup of ranch dressing. I ordered a queso to make it a little more authentic. I had a Combo plate: beef enchilada was cheese filled topped with chunky beef in a red sauce that tasted like catsup and A1 sauce. The taco was okay. The refried beans looked more like kidney beans from a can. I've never seen 3 milk cake on a Mexican menu, and asked if they had flan- answer was no. The decor was flashy Mexico, with an Elvis bust at the entrance. It called to mind another bad Mexican food experience in Memphis, TN. Luckily, I had a Pacifico beer that was great. My husband's shared my opinion and we won't go back. Taco Bell is better than Chuy's.

The flautus are some of the best I've had for Colorado Tex-Mex, although, they could have better salsa. But the best part of our meal was our server Ashley. Shes very polite and adds to the fun atmosphere of the

Great place to eat. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars were that some of their food was way too spicy for the average consumer. Two in our party couldn't handle the heat. But the chips and dips were awesome. Very patient server.

I find it kinda of strange the manager couldn’t fill my basket of chips or the rest of the Hispanics that was dinning in but everyone else no problem I will never come back here just for that reason

Everything we had was tasty. Chips and salsa are much better than other establishments. Lots of sauce options too. Wife had fish tacos and I had the enchiladas. We devoured it all lol.

I ordered the fajitas, I was beyond disappointed. The chicken was burnt and bitter, veggies not grilled prior to throwing on the stone, 2 out of 5. I replaced them with tacos, nicely platted, big improvement 4 out of 5.The only other complaint was my wife likes cheese on her beans, they tossed on a small sprinkle of cheese, not melted, and upcharged $1.25, just give me the ,10 cents worth of cheese

First date with my husband was at the original Chuy's in Austin in 1987. My son had his rehearsal dinner catered by Chuy's. This is Chuy's trying to be Chuy's and missing the mark. Visit Austin.
