The coffee is great. I worked here though and the ow er that runs the shop was extremely abusive to his employees. I only lasted a couple of weeks. I couldn't take it. And frankly we were all terrified of him.
Edit: This was the founder. I don't know if there is new management.

I like this place the people and the environment. I was sitting at my table looking around at how quaint this place is and about ready to get up and peak at their records when I looked up at the ceiling above the prep area. There are dangly balls of dust blowing from the vents the fans are also all covered in bust balls as soon as you turn one on everything will be contaminated. I understand you have high ceiling but this is a definite health code violation. I will be back again next time I am hanging out down town at least I will if they clean the ceiling better. Please

I ordered 2 drinks, and it took more than 20 minutes to get to me, and they forgot about it. They were NOT understaffed, and there was only about 2 people infront of me, their orders also small. Dont reccomend if your in a rush, not to mention the drink was average, looked weird, and was watery. Could've made a better one myself at home in my microwave.
$20 plus a 15% tip for 2 specialty lattes), small & a large) and a piece of pumpkin bread (way too sweet). Quality and service was good. Ambiance inside is okay. Could use more tables and chairs. Looking out the window would be great if it wasn't for the "unhoused" and transients, squatting outside the window, spitting on the ground and coming back-and-forth from the park and streets. On the other hand, this is the typical Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and Denver. They receive a one star rating because they charge paying customers a dollar for a cup of water! Won't return or recommend. Go to Stir, Perks Pike or Tree Bird, Kawa or Loyal, either Switchback Coffee Roasters locations or Third Space instead.
