Good food. Fun place to come. The beers on tap are always interesting and fun to try something new.

As a seasoned patron of various establishments, I recently visited the Public House at Alexander with eager anticipation, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. However, my visit left much to be desired. Upon entering, I took a seat at a table, only to be asked to relocate to another area of the establishment despite ample available seating. While accommodating such requests is understandable during busy periods, the fact that there were only ten patrons in the venue made this request puzzling and somewhat unwelcoming. Relocating as requested, I found myself feeling somewhat out of place and unwelcome. Despite being provided with water, the overall ambiance failed to create a sense of hospitality. As a result, I made the decision to leave without indulging in any further offerings from the establishment. In summary, while the Public House at Alexander may boast a charming exterior and promising menu, my personal experience left me feeling disappointed and unappreciated as a guest. It is my hope that the management takes steps to ensure all patrons feel welcomed and valued in the future.

Yum yum yum heck yes I recommend this place!!! The menu was the first thing that caught my attention. We went for a late lunch on a Friday and sat at the bar, although there was plenty of seating. They had a great selection of different draft beers to choose from. I got the lamb burger (first time I ever had one) and it was remarkably good. The bartender recommended it and I'm glad I took her word. My bonita partner ordered the shrimp tacos. They were decent; spicy (which I like) but the shrimp was battered and fried which I didn't expect. I would absolutely like to come here again and check it out on a weekend night

Big sandwich, come prepared. The compliment of flavors and textures was on point. Great Craft root beer.

We came in a group - we got 3 apps. The pretzels, the poutine, and the queso. All were good but queso was definitely the best. All got burgers and a chicken sandwich. These were also delicious. Beer choices were great. All walked away full and happy.

This place is hidden behind a hotel right off of Nevada so never knew about it. It's in a old building and was pretty cool inside. The place was pretty busy when we went, they were about to start some type of tour (I'll have to look into it) Food was very good, everything.

Holy Bajesus!!! El yum!!! Not only do you get history at the Public House, the burgers are sooooo good. They are big with awesome buns, AND they actually stay together, unlike when the bottom bun gets smaller than the top bun. The Western Coleslaw was really good, and the pub chips also. You'll need to stop by and check it out. The service is awesome, and the atmosphere is very cool.

The fried green tomatoes and Reuben are the bomb! I tried a prickly pear cider (seasonal) was as beautiful as it was delicious.

Not impressed with the service. It should've been much better with all the people behind the bar. Probably won't be back.

We just visited the Public House at Alexander! Crazy neat place built in 1928... unique place with wide open space... They have 30 beers on tap and we found our tangerine cream ale and it was fantastic. The staff was friendly when we walked in and we started with an order of their fired green tomatoes. These were seriously the best we have had since we left the state of Alabama. They were crispy and cooked perfectly. Not greasy or oily and the mustard sauce over the top with a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning made it better! The crumbled goat cheese was the perfect topper to the appetizer. My wife does not like goat cheese but loved everything about this appetizer. We asked for hot sauce and never used it! We decided to try the Green Chile Mac and Cheese with Chicken and added the bacon as recommended by our server. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy and moist inside with a perfect sear on the outside. We loved the flavors and the bacon was nice and crisp. We shared a side of the pub fries and they were crisp, hot and well seasoned. Could not ask for better service or food. The kitchen was immaculate and we cannot wait to try their burgers or other amazing dishes. The specials sounded amazing as well...
