The owner decided to fire his ENTIRE staff today during a staff meeting… because ONE person talked back. If you’re too emotionally incompetent and unable to handle criticism from young adults maybe you shouldn’t own a restaurant. Disgusting abuse of power and while it’s not my place to contact district or HR of the franchise I hope these kids come for his lively hood since theirs was so expendable to him. This an entry level job where a lot of these kids are learning how to be efficient adults and figuring how and what they want to do with their lives. If you can’t pull someone aside privately and act professional about their behavior during a staff meeting… once again, don’t try to run a business. The owner is a loser and if y’all take one thing from this… he’s willing to have zero staff, unable to give you adequate customer service just because he went on a power trip because one kid was disrespectful. A grown man, y’all. ?? update: the employee was criticizing the owner because his new “policy” would have been a health code violation. You should have given a reason to each staff member why their job was so expendable to you. Don’t care about the excuses. I hope for your sake you put on their records that they quit.

My friend and I got one bowl of soup, one smallcup of soup, half a sandwich, and a drink for $30.+ Sorry but that's a deal breaker. Food was very good but the prices are ridiculous... portions were average sized, maybe even small. I can't see coming here again.

No where near as good as it used to be. Lack of quality in the soup, orders arrive cold and incomplete.

First time eating here. Very expensive for what you get. The sandwich and soup had very little taste. Overall just way too expensive and not very tasty.

Not our first time in and really enjoy the food here. Today, my goodness the staff should have just not shown up! Not one greeting from the 4 staff members. The one on the register kept giving incredibly rude looks whilst helping one couple. The, what appeared to be manager, was vacuuming the whole time without a single acknowledgment. Something that should have been done during opening procedures BEFORE customers arrive. What a truly terrible experience that could have been completely avoided if the staff would have taken 15 seconds to greet customers.

I would never recommend Zoup, and would discourage anyone from going there. I ordered on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm, and placed my order online to be ready about an hour later. I arrived a little over an hour later (about 3:15), to allow enough time for it to be ready to go. There was only one girl working, to take orders & payments, prepare all the food and restock. When she finally came over to me at the order pickup side of the counter (about 5 min later), she said my order had not even been started yet and it would be at least 20 min. So I waited and watched while she took & prepared orders for several people in line. When you order ahead, you are "getting in line" at that time and your order is to be processed just as if you are standing there the whole time. Not here. The gal never once changed her gloves the entire time I watched her make order after order. She used the cash register, took money & gave change, touched the credit card terminal, handled cups and dishes, touched the door to go into the kitchen to bring out a new pot of soup, prepared the food touching every item (salad ingredients, bread rolls, sandwich ingredients, etc) all with her hands and wearing the same pair of gloves the entire time. I saw her make a sandwich and heat it, and the only time she used tongs on anything was to take it out of the oven. When she finally made my order, which was a salad, soup, mac & cheese, and a bread roll, she grabbed a huge handful of salad greens jammed them into a to-go bowl, crammed all the toppings on top and squished the lid on, with greens sticking out around the sides. The mac & cheese was a very wet cold salad bar item that she scooped into a cup and heated in the microwave. The bread rolls were standard fare that she grabbed from an open bin and then heated in the microwave for a few seconds. The soup was the only item that was kept in and served from a heated vessel. 35 minutes after my arrival (50 min after it was supposed to be ready for pickup), my order was finally ready. I thanked the gal, because she was hustling all by herself, and quietly told her she needed to change her gloves between taking orders and preparing food, and only then did she change her gloves. I got home with my food, about 10 min later. The salad was disgusting, and that's not an exaggeration. About 80% of the greens were slimy & stuck together. Not just a couple pieces, but basically the entire bowl of greens was a slimy mass. So, the salad went straight into the garbage. The mac & cheese was edible, but a box of Kraft mac & cheese you'd make yourself would taste far better. The soup just tasted like a can of Campbell's that you buy at the store, so it was edible, but nothing special. I would guess that none of their food is actually made in-house. Everything looks to be just prepared food service ingredients bought by the bag/box and they are just putting it together to heat and serve. That would be ok, if it were cheap and they actually looked at what they're serving, for any kind of quality control. You will be better off to just go to the grocery store, where you will get fresh items for much cheaper and you'll have a better tasting meal. I don't know how this place is still in business, unless it's because it's right off the hwy and people are stopping in to grab something quick while on the road. I would be shocked if they get many repeat local customers. So, if you want a salad, do not go to Zoup. But, if you just want school cafeteria soup and sandwiches, then you'll be fine with Zoup.

So many choices. Always warm and fresh! Quick and love the samples! Always our favorite for a warm meal!

The food is fine but the dining room could use some attention. This is the only place I've ever been that looks like the end of a lunch/dinner rush at the beginning of the day. Even the walls are filthy. Come on guys. Be better.

It was okay. They need to pay attention to detail and clean a little more. The food sounded good, but lacked taste.

Sandwich had good flavor but almost nothing on it. Soup tasted like Campbell soup from a can and was hardly warm. Bread on sandwich and with soup were really good. Dining room was pretty dirty especially for being as slow as they were. Service was not good, no smiles, didn’t feel welcome, were not helpful, seemed very unhappy to be helping us. Didn’t offer us a drink with our meal.

I always go here when I’m in town. Walked in today with one person in line and the staff told me it would be 20 mins to get a cup of soup. Then I see staff pouring soup back into the vats from cups people miss ordered. Will not be back. Food all over the floor as well. They need covers inthe soup! FLYS.

I've been a very loyal customer at this Zoup since they opened, and we made it a point to help them out during COVID by visiting quite often. Lately, while their food quality remains high, their service has completely devolved. In the last six online orders for pickup I've placed, they have failed to include at least one item every time. And last night, they failed to include dressing for the salads. When I called to complain I was offered a refund on the amount of the dressings only (never mind the fact that I'm left to eat a salad for dinner without dressing). I objected, pointing out the repeated failures and the manager taking the call (Riley) said "If we're always messing up, why do you keep ordering here?". That's an excellent question -- misguided loyalty I presume. Guess I won't be making that mistake any longer.

Expensive for not much to eat. Ordered this meal and ate it all but left hungry. Paid $16.65 for a small sandwich and small cup of soup. The sweet tea was good. I was the only person in the restaurant at dinner time. Not sure that I will be back based on value for the price.
