I literally don’t write reviews, ever, but my god. Visiting from NYC where the bar is set pretty high, but this blows so many of those seafood restaurants out of the water. Wow! Fantastic cold sake collection, exquisite barramundi and lobster fried rice. Flavor, texture…all of it. Great recommendations from the bartender. Very, very happy patron.

Let me just say this is a must go to spot in downtown Denver! The best let me reintegrate that this is the best place for oysters. Their king crab pasta with caviar was absolutely amazing ! Brittney was our server and she was absolutely helpful when it came to making oyster choices. My favorite that we had were the steam boat, and the sex in the bay. Will be returning to this place for sure . Amazing ?

Best Clam Chowder EVER! Came back the next day for a nightcap just to experience it again! Great service - Awesome Atmosphere.
This is our favorite seafood restaurant in Denver. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The dishes are delicious, and they are prepared with fantastic skill and attention to detail. A top choice for date-nights or special events. This is still an undiscovered gem in Denver, give them a try before everyone finds out.

The bar staff charged us full price for our drinks even though it was happy hour, which they adjusted once brought to their attention. My husband ordered a cod dish but they forgot the cod. Again once they recognized the error, brought the cod and comped that meal. I think the food quantity and quality is ok, nothing outstanding. Our waitress was kind, and attentive but was waiting on several tables which delayed our service. All in all, the atmosphere is quiet and pleasing.. a welcome relief from patrons who feel the need to be the loudest in the room, spoiling the experience for others. The happy hour is great, as my husband loves oysters. We will definitely be back for happy hour :-)

Unexpected find and it was absolutely incredible! Fresh seafood in a land locked state? Sign me up!! Excellent service. Beautiful decor. We will definitely be back for another date night. Food was incredible - the day of scallops were delicious (was expecting way less as this is nowhere near the coast). The oyster selection across the board was delicious. But the Creme Brûlée. Divine. Perfect thickness - and the flavor in the vanilla custard was bar none. I will come back for that alone.Rose the bartender was phenomenal. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, an anniversary, or an upscale night out. Love the mermaid bar scene and the sky- seafoam facade.

We celebrated my birthday. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They had decorations on the table and Happy Birthday on my menu. The food was all excellent. So delicious. They let me select my birthday dessert compliments from the staff. They also gave me a signed menu from the staff. I felt like rroyalty❣️

the place was empty on a saturday night. we had $50 coupon but they thought we wouldn’t check the receipt to verify that it was applied… always check receipts people. maybe it was an honest mistake but doubtful as we had just discussed it with our waitress. the food is incredibly expensive and just not very good. wouldn’t come back.
We have dined at 801 Fish several times and have never had such poor service. We ordered two rather expensive starters and had barely eaten a third of the dish, when our entrees showed up. Now, we were faced with either cold starters or cold entrees. As it turned out, the entrees were already nearly cold, not sure how long they sat under the lights before they were brought to the table. However, we had just started the tempura shrimp and peppers, neither of which can be eaten cold. Hoping to salvage some part of the evening, we decided to have two scoops of ice cream, each. She brought four dishes of ice cream, with one serving in each dish. After now having been charged thirty two dollars for ice cream, she brought a complimentary dessert from the kitchen for us to try. It would have been more appropriate to have offered the complimentary dessert before we had to pay thirty two dollars for ice cream! No adjustment of charges offered for the ruined starters or the cold entrees. This was an embarrassment to the 801 Restaurant system and not what we have come to expect as 801 Club Members.

We had a reservation for 6:45. We showed at 6:40 and the hostess did not want to seat us in one of the many open booths. When we asked why, she said they were reserved. Again, we were not walk-ins. We had a reservation too. Most of the booths remained open as they did not have a second seating. Food and service was great!
Outstanding seafood in Denver. A diverse but not overwhelming menu offers a great variety for lovers of fish and shellfish. Each dish offer quality over quantity with nice presentation and interesting flavor combinations. Our server was excellent, attentive without overbearing and quite knowledgeable about the menu.

All of my vacations when I was child were spent on the Gulf Coast. During those trips I developed a love for old school seafood houses. 801 Fish combines that old school vibe with upscale presentation. We will be back.
