My wife and I dined at this restaurant with another couple who are old friends last Friday night. The space is attractive, and the restaurant was not overly busy. After appetizers and cocktails we ordered entrees and a bottle of Chablis. Each couple ordered the “Baked Whole Striped Bass for 2” entree, salads and my wife ordered a side of asparagus. The waiter explained that the fish took 30 minutes, and we indicated that that was fine. 35 minutes later he explained that “your entrees are going to be another 30 minutes” and asked “do you want to order more food, or more drinks?”. After we explained that we didn’t want to fill up or get overly inebriated, he got a little huffy. We eventually asked for a second order of bread, and he brought it to us without any butter. When we asked for butter, a second waiter brought another order of bread with butter. Our entrees didn’t arrive until over 45 minutes later (1 hour 20 minutes from the time we ordered them) and he neglected to bring us the side of asparagus that we ordered. When I asked him about it, he said that “he’d look into it,” and oddly remarked “you sure like our bread”. We didn’t quite understand his attitude, given that we had waited patiently for our meals without giving him a hard time over the service. We eat out a lot and haven’t had this sort of experience in years. Each couple’s meals were approximately $220 with a 20% tip that was undeserved. The bottom line is that the fish was good, the service was bad, and we won’t be back.

Going to start with the service: They are amazing at Vendome. The server Justine and manager Brian were impeccable. The chef seems like a very accommodating person, as well. Really happy with the money spent and it going to great staff/service.Food: The food was pretty good. I got something simple; the hangar steak. My date got the scallops dish which was immensely better in terms of getting a more "French" experience. For the price I would say it was over all worth it.Atmosphere: The music was a tad bit loud but it is a really nice place, so it's easy to overlook. Sometimes it felt slightly cramped too. It's a somewhat difficult place to take a date and have a conversation with someone else without feeling like the people on either side of you aren't listening. Over all though, the atmosphere is pretty great in aesthetic and smell.Recommendation: Would highly recommend taking anyone you care about here. Seems like a great place to come get an appetizer and a few drinks, as well. Friendly staff, good food and good to support local.Dietary restrictions: Really good for gluten free, very accommodating.

I haven't been to BV in decades. Quite overpriced for the unremarkable food. No reason to return. There are other French restaurants and plenty of other eateries with much better food.Main courses came out at different times, so the first ones quickly got cold waiting. The food was overall bland, except for a vegetarian dish that tasted fishy. Some food was so tasteless no one could identify it, while other additions just had no value or reason to be on the dish. Not one person remarked on anything but the dessert. I considered sending back my undercooked overpriced meat, but just ate around it so as not to ruin the célébrant's evening. For a special occasion, this fell flat. For the price, there are many other eateries in the metro worthier. There are a few other eateries on this quaint little street to try for the atmosphere. Unfortunately, BV is going on the do not return again list.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. Matt, Ava, the staff, and management were also incredibly accommodating. We unfortunately had a medical emergency that required an ambulance and they showed care, professionalism, and empathy not only to our group but also the diners disturbed nearby. Thank you, our friend is okay!

Loved the old location better…. Food still taste good but quite expensive… went for brunch and portions are definitly small for the price……. I know inflation is everywhere but kinda deceiving. Our waitress was nice, but my husband ordered a cocktail and he got it when we were done eating our food… i think you should have your drink before anything? It was easter, they were busy for sure so that’s maybe why.Used to be one of my to go french restaurant in town but i’d give it 7/10 now.

A great place for dinner or to celebrate a special occassion. It was a Saturday night and it was a bit noisy at our small round corner table. The foot was amazing, and we both really enjoyed our dinner. We will be back again to enjoy this nice cozy neighborhood highlight.

This was my second time going to Bistro Vendome for dinner, and it was absolutely amazing again! The service was impeccable. We had the server Jaden and her timing was spot on as well as her customer service level. I wish we were closer. I would be here as a regular all the time. I will tell all my friends.

We have gone to Bistro Vendome for the last fifteen years. The ambiance and food are excellent. I had the best pork chops. The meat was perfectly cooked and served with a wonderful sauce that complimented beef perfectly. My wife had the scallops which were the best scallops she had ever had. The table wine was excellent and priced conservatively. Overall a five star meal!!

We loved this restaurant! The food was top of the line! We had appetizers, salad and entrees and all were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented with creative details that made it better! They are very accommodating to gluten free and even had a delicious baguette to offer. It also has an elegant ambiance and lovely staff. We highly recommend this place!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly

We had the pleasure of attending a "movie night" at Vendome. Besides the movie, the popcorn and 4 course meal were also worth cheering about. The popcorn was seasoned with 2 types of powdered cheese and bacon bits and was a warm up to the evenings dining experience. During the movie, we were served a Nicoise Salad, a warm Escarole and Meatball soup, entrée of pasta with mushrooms and the final touch was a Cheesecake slice with fresh Strawberry pieces. To dine for 2 hours and enjoy a vintage movie provided a relaxing experience. The value of the experience was not a wallet breaker. Shout out to Doug for movie selection. Kudos to Doug and Jadyn for exceptional service during the movie. Movie night is an exceptional dining value. Well worth checking out the coming attractions.
