Great food. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Our service was excellent as well. The atmosphere was alright, just not my style is all. Stop in for some good grub if you are tired of the same old menus everyone else pushes has.

Can I just say YUM!!!! My first experience here was awesome! The staff was customer service-focused. They are fun and engaging. The food.....oh my....seriously the best I have eaten at a restaurant in a very long time! The Irsh potato dish is heavenly! The rolls....who knew there were complimentary rolls...they are light and fluffy. The potato skins.....holy smokes are they good. I'm sure the desserts are extremely delicious but I was so full from dinner, there was no room for dessert. I took my family back the next week so they could enjoy this cute place and delicious food!

Reliable down home food. Well cooked and service was good. We needed quick, easy, casual and this filled the bill perfectly.

This is still a nice location. The waitstaff was friendly, efficient and attentive. The wait was not long on a Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious and served hot and timely. My dad remembered the previous menu and was slightly disappointed that they no longer serve warm cornbread or ginger ale But overall, it was a pleasant meal in a comfortable atmosphere.

The manager helped us alot because our waitress was busy with other tables. But I still tipped her good.

I visited for the first time recently from the UK. My sister and I were staying in a hotel opposite, therefore it was really convenient. The food was amazing with so much menu choice. The staff were all very pleasant, it has its own car park, and the bread rolls with butter and honey were absolutely delicious. My sister and I ate here almost every evening as the food was so filling and so good. There were so many delicious sides to choose from too. The atmosphere was really nice, and so much better than so many 'chains' nearby. I really miss this restaurant already and cannot recommend it enough!

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Denver since I moved here in 1985. It always has a friendly staff and a better menu! I love the daily specials, and the combos always hit the spot! Plus, it's one of the few spots in town that AFTER Covid still has a military discount! My only disappointment was the discontinuation of the cornbread rolls!? I'm glad this place hasn't let its quality slip after all these years!

Hadn't been too a Black-eyed Pea is years, but when your 94 yr old mom wants to go....Not bad, somewhat what you might expect, for me far too much overly-breaded, overly-fried foods. Not many healthy options. The fried green tomatoes were so heavily breaded, could really have been fried anything... cardboard? (Sorry, probably a little harsh). Also the service staff was having a great (and extremely loud) time at the front. DistractingServers were very nice and accommodating and service was quick.Maybe a chance to up their game, and move beyond the deep fried southern unhealthy fare? There may also be a great market for this, just not with us. ?

We visited the Black Eyed Pea on Colorado Blvd one day after our visit to the one on Wadsworth. The difference in food was night and day. The Colorado Blvd location was leaps and bounds better. I told the waitress this, and she said that a lot of customers will drive extra just to come to their location. The cook has been there over eight years.I could tell that the Colo location had clean oil, as the tater tots were perfect. The day before, at the Wads location, they were so nasty that I couldn't eat them. The rolls at Wads were overdone; very dry and dark brown. Colo had perfectly warm, golden rolls. The portion size at the Colorado location was great, whereas the Wads location scrimped on the portion size. I felt like I didn't get my money's worth there. We didn't even have any leftovers. At the Colo location, we needed a bag to carry all the leftovers home. The waitress at Colo was fantastic with a great personality!Don't forget to tip the chef for a job well done, too!

with extremely low staff available carryout in/out time took almost 30 minutes - the phone is never answered so I always walk into the bar. Ordered the sampler specifically with the fried green beans and mushrooms and cheese sticks - then senior Chicken Fingers with Caesar salad and fries. Asked for Honey Mustard sauce for the Chicken Fingers - asked for Ranch for the green beans and Marinara for the Cheese sticks - got home to open sampler box NO FRIED green beans at all only mushrooms and cheese sticks - the fries were in a separate box so the Chicken Fingers were in a big box WITH NO HONEY MUSTARD sauce at all - so never got to try the green beans - had to use my own Chick-Fil-A sauce to dip the chicken. Not the first time the sauces have been missing
