Service was great. Food was mediocre. I got “pigs in a blanket” which was sausage wrapped in pancakes. It was dosed in powdered sugar, which wasn’t mentioned in menu, and the pancakes sort of crumbled around the sausage. Tasted doughy but were not raw. Husband got chicken fried steak which was also just ok. Coffee was good. Wanted to like this place more.

Everything about this place was AMAZING. Our servers name was Anthony and I don’t think I’ve ever had a server with better manners and more attentive. I got the gnocchi sweet potato dish and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I can’t wait to try more stuff on the menu. I’ve been telling all my friends. Also, I got the cheese cake for dessert and it was amazing. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place.

The Cozy Cottage is a special gem on Tennyson! You arrive to an old historical house with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (the patio is perfectly arranged and it lives up to the "cozy" in it's name!) The menu is vast and offers all of the best breakfast staples (my favorite is the veggie hash). The staff is warm and friendly (it is family-run and owned) and they will help you decide between all of their delicious options. No second guessing necessary, go early or on the later side to avoid larger crowds and a potential wait. If you are faced with a wait the location lends itself to walking around and looking at the other businesses on Tennyson or walking over to Caesar Chavez park to wait while people and dog watching! Highly recommend!

Came here for dinner last night (3/9/24). The menu was for Denver Restaurant Week. The food and service were excellent. The Lamb stew, salads, mahi mahi and smothered burrito were fabulous. It was well worth the drive to eat here. We will be coming back to try the breakfast menu.

Went there for lunch and I had the Carnitas hash and my wife had the club sandwichBoth meals were both really good and well prepared as well. The place is busy that we were immediately seated by the Host. But of course nice it was cozy. It's kid friendly the parking around there kind of sucks you'll have to park on one of the other streets and walk to it. Bathrooms are clean. The place is well appointed and a nice place to have lunch a lot of people are just finishing breakfast when we got there and the breakfast all the plates look fantastic. Can't say enough about the food as it was really good. It was super busy but the wait staff seemed like they were a little taxed we had decent service. It wasn't bad but it could have been a little bit better.

This place has really gone down hill over the years, the coffee was stupid bitter, I got a skillet and my potatoes were burnt and raw at the same time, eggs weren’t correct and had no flavor and the pancakes were grainy and tasted like box pancakes. It’s too bad because the wait staff was good and the spot is nice…

I have always loved this place and don't come here often. But it seemed like something changed. Had it changed ownership. I got the Bluebird Benedict and it was so tasty. The potatoes were slightly undercooked. Service is still

Great breakfast spot and aptly named. Many great traditional breakfast items but my fave is the Southern Oatmeal and side of bacon. Great lattes and specialty coffee too.
