Went during a field trip day but wasn't overloaded with children. Most impressed by the monkeys and reptiles. The elephant enclosure was exceptional and had very engaging training and informative shows. Currently under construction for the seal enclosure. Had no wait times which was nice. The Kamala Cafe was the worst part of my trip, the staff there was very lackluster, slow, and inattentive. Go during the warmer months if you want to see the Ibis or Egyptian Vulture in the walk through aviary.

Bought tickets online ahead of time (as recommended) for Memorial Day Weekend. It took us a solid 15 minutes to find parking, and it ended up being a decent walk from the entrance, so keep that in mind as you’re not supposed to show up more than 30 minutes after your entry reservation time (it might be easier on a non-holiday weekend.)Controversial opinion, but I actually preferred this zoo over the San Diego and Omaha Zoos. There was plenty of shady trees over the walking paths, so I didn’t feel like I was going to get heatstroke (unlike Omaha Zoo). It was actually pleasantly laid out and easy to navigate. As soon as you walk in, you get to see penguins and lions. There’s even viewing places to see the larger animals up close. We also enjoyed the tiger exhibit as Victor the tiger was very vocal that day. I love how they have volunteers that are knowledgeable about the animals stationed at different exhibits that are friendly and chat with you about the species but also the specific animal’s history.Otters are my favorite and I do wish their enclosure wasn’t so small, but this was a really great experience overall. Lots of benches throughout and a great value for the ticket price, especially compared to other museums in Denver. Plenty of families appeared to have brought their own food, and the weather was perfect for picnicking on the tables outside. It seemed clean, well-kept, and a great place to spend the day or bring your family.

We have a membership and we have really enjoyed it so far.Unfortunately, trying to reach customer care is just an exercise in frustration.

Super fun, lots of animals, and well maintained. Me and my family had a really good time here, my kids especially enjoyed all the animals. It has a really good theme park kind of atmosphere that keeps you wanting to explore and see what is around the next corner. Animals are treated well, it is definitely more of a sanctuary than an animal prison, so your conscience can rest easy. Highly recommended for all.

We love the zoo! If you go often I recommend a membership, plus it saves you a couple bucks on zoo lights. We usually only go for a few hours and I ask what animal each kid wants to see and then we make sure we see them. There is so much to this zoo we are still finding new exhibits even after years of going at least once a month. I recommend bringing water, lunch, and snacks (popcorn) to save a little but on occasion we buy food and it's pretty good. The lion exhibit is awesome and we almost always go into the aquarium part because kids love it. Parking can be hard and I recommend parking in the garage in the summer to keep your vehicle cool. The kids also love the animal hospital but we are still waiting for the day we actually see something happening there.

It's the ZOO! We did have a great time, enjoyed plenty even with the renovations. It was early in the morning so many animals were still waking up so they werent as active. Check out their Lego section lol that pink is killer

My kids are special needs and it is really hard to take them anywhere let alone the zoo. The man that works in the welcome office was so patient and kind! They definitely deserve a promotion! He was a white man with a bald head and walkie talkie. Fabulous customer service thank you for making a difference we will be back!

- May 2024, we take our 2 toddlers often and sometimes bring their baby brother. The elephant show is a favorite, and the monkeys. We can't wait for the new Down Under exhibit to open.- January 2021 zoo lights. It was great and our toddler loved it. We were convinced we should become zoo members and come back on a regular basis.

Had troubles trading cash to get in, I made it ¼ through. Apparently, telling the apes to play dead until they give them access to live gaming will not be tolerated!

Okay, so this is a nice zoo. Plenty of Animals lots of things to do. It's about 2.5 miles of walking. It's kept in good shape. The animals look like they have plenty of space. I wish the one elephant wasn't kept alone. I don't know if it's alone all the time but it was when we went. Elephants are social animals.Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The one bad thing was buying tickets from a kiosk. One was out of order and the other kept erroring when the people in front of us was trying to buy tickets. So save your time and buy tickets online.
