El Five is chef's kiss, every time. I had possibly the best scallops of my life with the seafood paella. Fantastic service and one of the best views in the city. This place always leaves me wanting more.

El Five is a great restaurant, but it is a better bar. While I thoroughly enjoyed the food and appetizers here, the drinks just blew the food out of the water. What is really nice about that though is that the food very much compliments getting tipsy. The food is very indulgent, cheesy, tasty, savory, and those to me are all the notes you really want while you enjoy a delicious cocktail. There is truly a cocktail for everyone here, they have fruity cocktails, they have dry cocktails, and then they have very herbal cocktails which tend to be my go-to. I recommend coming here with friends, which makes sense since it is a tapas place, but it really is more of a bar to me.Amazing atmosphere which I'm sure people have sung endless praise of before me. Being able to go out on the balcony is quite nice and the views ain't awful either.Service was also very nice and we were given plenty of advice on what to order, and what was in cocktails / food.

I recently dined at El Five and was left with a bitter taste, and it wasn't from the food. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and the majority of the staff seemed attentive and caring. However, our experience was marred by the service we received from our waiter. From the onset, our waiter displayed a noticeably poor attitude. It felt as though she was not interested in serving us and did not want us there. This was evident when my date was still eating her food and merely glanced at the menu, only for our waiter to prematurely take her plate away. This action was not only rude but also disrupted our dining experience. What made this situation even more disheartening was observing the stark contrast in service provided by the other wait staff. They were attentive to their tables, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that we, unfortunately, did not get to experience.Being the only minority couple in the restaurant, this experience left us feeling singled out and uncomfortable. It's disheartening to think that our ethnicity could have played a role in the level of service we received. In conclusion, while El Five may offer a great ambiance and a promising menu, the service we received during our visit was deeply disappointing. We hope that our experience was an isolated incident and not reflective of the restaurant's usual standards.

I spent dinner here with a group of 6. Food and drink pairings were great. There is a lot of care into the dishes. Our favorite was the soup dumplings, mushroom paella, and meat balls. The Interior and atmosphere were also nice. The server we had was unfortunatly very cold, and made us feel unwelcomed. When asked about recommendations, and serving size delivery was flat and she seemed very annoyed. She didn’t check in with the table once and only came back to clean the table and drop off a dessert menu without saying anything. The food runners were absolutely amazing and brought a much different vibe to the table. They put in their own personal commentary on the dishes when explaining each dish, and checked in with the table. We waited about 20min for the check, had our cards out and at the end of the table. After another 10min, the host doing rounds took our payment.

Porch was hot and halve of our party was faced into the sun. What do I mean by hot? There was a locked thermostat on the wall next to our table that read 81 degrees. Perfect for hot yoga but not so much for fine dining. Heat stayed even after sunset. The rest of the restaurant was not as hot.I love Tapas but I did not discover a dish that impressed. The humus plate was pretty good but the Bison Albondigas and goat cheese fritters were not great. I was underwhelmed by the food. The drinks were on point. I had the Old Turk. The first one was among the best I’ve had. I was jealous of my friend’s Zombie because it was presented with smoking cinnamon garnish. In my opinion, the restaurant needs to reassess and renewed. I got the impression the restaurant used to be spectacular but it is now resting on its past glory. The staff were exceedingly friendly. If you have a food sensitivity ask before ordering. If you are allergic and let them know they will take care of you. They error on the side of caution so be careful how you present a food sensitivity. If you are really allergic, you’d be glad for their vigilance.

Had such an incredible experience here! We sat at a high top table by the bar as a walk in, and we were treated so well by the staff. The manager, Mike had a great playlist and spent time talking with us. Bartender Dan deserves a massive shout out for his jokes (yes, you’re funny) attentive service and for just being a cool dude.O, and the food was excellent. It was suggested to us to do a half plate of the hummus starter, which was a good call because everything we ordered was exceptional. Highly recommend! I’ll be looking to book for my birthday in a few weeksVegetarian options: Lots of veggie forward dishesDietary restrictions: There’s a lot of food that can be made vegan!
