A continual member of the first (and second, and third, etc.) club...I'm a long time SW Denver resident. El Tejado remains a stronghold of solid Mexican cuisine for our area. And all of the usual suspects you want are there. Fajita's, chimichanga, nachos. And the green chili is very solid. The hot chili is REALLY hot. But if you venture more into the cuisine there are some treasures. I highly recommend chili Colorado.The decor is reminiscent of any number of SW Denver Mexican restaurants however the service is second to none. And that's where it stands out. Your water will never will be low and your margaritas will be full.Definitely give them a shot of you have been on the fence.

Delicious food. The food is on the spicy side of Mexican type dishes. So if your not someone who enjoys spicy food then I would suggest asking before you place an order. For instance the shrimp enchiladas were delicious however the dish was spicy and I wasn't aware of that when ordered. I liked it but I can see how some people may not like it . The smothered burritos are good and the green chili was mild so I just suggest asking the level of spiciness when ordering if you are going to have a preference.Parking: They have a parking lot it is not very big and they tend to get pretty busy so parking along the street is an option also it's free

Today, my family and I visited your restaurant El Tejado at 2651 S Broadway, Denver, CO, 80210. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to the terrible service we received.Excessive wait: They kept us waiting for an hour for the tables to be vacated. It is incomprehensible that they did not stop us or inform us about the delay.Unexplained forgetfulness: When we asked the girls who attended the reception, they told us that they had forgotten to let us in. We were at the entrance, so we don't understand how they could forget us.Refusal to attend: Despite our patience, they did not want to attend to us properly. The service from the girl at the reception was very poor.We hope that you will take measures to improve the quality of service in your establishment. As customers, we deserve respectful treatment and a pleasant experience when visiting your restaurant.We appreciate your attention and hope that this situation does not happen again in the future.
