The location is recommended as a jazz bar. The music; however, was more on the rap side. The place was extremely over crowded and the floors were wet.

Imagine harassing homeless people off the street and then threatening them with violence. If they don’t move off of the public sidewalk, that’s what you’ll get out. It’s a very great establishment. If you’re willing to get threatened with violence if you’re willing to mistreat the homeless veterans, they will fully back their bartenders and their bouncers in harassing, homeless veterans who are stuck on the street will not give you good service will mistreat you and will degrade you all their own entertainment. I would highly recommend to avoid.video evidence for whoever’s interested scruffy Murphy is a block down the road and you’re 100% less likely to fall victim to an attack by their staff

Patrick at the bar was simply the best bartender we experienced in Denver. He was slammed, but still took the time to be courteous, engaging and super friendly. I would highly recommend stopping in, checking out some great free music and dating halo to Patrick and the rest of the crew.

My friend and I were visiting Denver for the first time and we enjoy going to dive bars and Herbs was recommended to us. So glad we went! Had an amazing time talking and interacting with the bartenders, Patrick is your guy. We enjoyed it so much our last night we went back and visited and again was not disappointed. Live music starts at 9 it’s just an all around great time!

Best bar in Denver! Recently changed management and is now running even smoother than before. The bands are always amazing with great music and energy. Beer is cheap and cold! Always a great time at Herbs!

Had a very similar experience to Rebecca in the comment below. I had just walked into the bar, completely sober, and was standing in a corner minding my own business watching the band when the “manager” and his buddy suddenly escorted me out. Not sure of his name, but he looked older and had a beard. When he escorted me out, I asked for a simple reason and he refused to give it. As I was leaving, I saw another wook looking guy wink at me. Very strange, but all I know is I’ll make sure to spread the word about this joint. Sad to see that this bar is part of the larger problem with society these days.

Beyond awful experience. My friend and I ordered a drink, drank most of it, we were having a good conversation with eachother in a calm way, the two bartenders took our drinks away, and we were shocked. They told us to leave, but they couldn’t tell us why. Like if we were so messed up or something, can you calmly tell us, and I would have left. I have this recorded, when we kept asking the one guy bartender said, we were informed by other employees on Larimer St. That we were a nuisance and to get out. That’s all heresay! We didn’t do anything, what the hell is wrong with this place! Don’t go there!

The band & vibe was fantastic and I don’t think I have ever been to a new bar and had such nice bartenders. Thanks guys!
This just wasn't the place for us. The band was supposed to show up but never did.

One of the best dive bars in Denver. Few windows, super dark, and a ready supply of Malort. Honestly, though, a great place for Louisiana beers which can be hard to find in Denver.
